Another Windfall for TK

Post: # 375329Post BedfordBee »

I've seen a few mention about the Mason Clarke transfer funds and the potential Ronnie Edwards.

However with Ipswich being promoted to Premier League today - TK will get another windfall from the Jack Taylor transfer. When he left last year and Darragh did his podcast he mentioned that he got a great deal for Jack and that he had a big add on if they won promotion to premier league - which we will get a share off as part of the add on we had.

We'll probably never know how much & if Dean's budget will increase at all.

I was sure that DMAC had said that Posh were due £1M+ from the Jack deal if Ipswich were promoted, but that's likely to be shared between Ipswich getting promoted and Jack actually appearing in the Premier league.

Whatever Posh get, we're due between 20-25% of it, (in line with whatever the original deal was).

If Ipswich sell Jack, (let's say for £10M), and Posh get 50% of that, (£5M), then we get 20-25% of the £5M.

What with the Jack initial money, a % of the EMC fee to Coventry, 50% of the Ronnie fee, (that will surely be paid this Summer), and now the % cut of the Jack clauses that Ipswich will pay to Posh, TK must be laughing.

No wonder he can afford to get us back to Barnet.

Hopefully Ronnie will actually go somewhere for a fee in the next month or two. Question is, will Posh getting promoted help or hinder the situation? They are in playoff action as we speak.
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!
