It's being 'Barnetised'
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

I spotted the first picture from The Hive in 2004 on Twitter when I used to go past it twice a day, and below Paul50's pic from the weekend.

Wow- -I didn't realise Wealdstone had built so much.
No wonder they're pissed off!

The main building is a shell and 2 prefab terraces, there was still a lot of work\money needed to finish it. That's why the bank refused to lend them more funds and the council eventually cancelled the lease.

Would you rather go back to this? Scroll down for food ratings. http://elevenleaguesundertheprem.blogsp ... e.html?m=1

Personally happy to pay a bit more (although £4.50 seems about right) for something if it's decent but don't think the club can win on what avenue it goes down here. Seemed like they do all sorts.

I was commenting on the burger options at a family community day. Both burgers (Beef or chicken) priced at £4.50 each seems a bit excessive to me.

You carry on paying over the odds wearebees.

So was I! I don't buy burgers very often so maybe I'm wrong on the price.

That's a fair amount of solar panels on the main building:

Company that made this (see link below) is also one who's done work for Chelsea, Brighton and Leicester Tigers.

Top research 1983! Cheers. Loving the solar panels. Makes the environmentally friendly aspect of the club even more appealling to our new neightbours in Camrose Avenue. We should really be promoting things like these.....Also, we need to bloody remove the £1 parking in The Hive, then a lot more car parking space will be used there causing less headaches to the neighbours re: their parking spaces going....Anyone know if The Hive are going to drop the £1 charge?

I have read that Harrow Council have stipulated a nominal charge for cars at The Hive, but cannot back up - ring a bell to anyone else?

Are you sure that first pic is from 2004 ? It looks as though the outside grass and 3G pitches had already been laid and were in use. I don't think they had been before BFC took it over.

I seem to remember pictures of PF in a high vis jacket and a hard hat wading through mud where the pitches now are. Is it my age ?

Yep their was no access road either.
I would say that picture was taken after Barnet developed it.
Also there wasn't any windows fitted to the main building.
