It would appear that they are working on the roof as well if you compare the pictures taken by ccollis_869 and those taken by Village earlier in the day.

Going to look great when it's finished and will keep out some of the wind! It's a bit of a shame that it will be allocated to away fans though as opposed to the corner of the West Stand that they've had in previous seasons. I guess until we get a few thousand more fans we can't spread out seating too much otherwise it will start to look like Gateshead's ground.

It's going to look nothing like the faded peach coloured west stand. White steps and bright orange seats.

Some more pictures taken today. If you look closely at the one showing the back of the stand you can see some uprights which are apparently the boundary of the away bar.

Looking really good! Anyone have any idea if the rails (handrails?) on the roof are temporary or permanent?

They are a safety feature while they fit the roof panels and will be removed when that is finished.
