Re: New kit
Thank you for your good wishes hoppy. But orange, bloody or otherwise on a Barnet F.C. player should be the cause of many an illness on all supporters. Bees are black and amber, the history of this club is black and amber. As far as I know only Blackpool wear orange, let them keep it. If Hull, Cambridge and even Great Yarmouth football clubs can find a kit supplier that supplies the colour amber than there is no reason why we can't. Orange, gives me apoplexy!

Whilst I agree that amber would be preferable to orange, I’m pretty sure we originally played in purple.ricardobee wrote:Thank you for your good wishes hoppy. Surely someone with such respect for the past should be demanding that rather than a progressive push towards those horrible 1930s amber kits, we return to who we are. A team that wears purple.

Can you imagine if we played in purple: "Come On You Plums"!

" . . . horrible 1930s amber kits, . . ."
I wasn't around in the 1930's to see a horrible amber kit or was I around before to see a purple/violet kit.
But I was around in the 1950's onwards to see a historic black and amber stripe kit.
No sign of orange in our history until the last few seasons.

Re: New kit
I think TK said a while back that we don't wear amber because it's too expensive.
I wonder how Maidstone, Slough and Cheshunt afford it.

Re: New kit
So Barnet history starts from when you decide? Glad we’ve cleared that up after all these years. Just think if you started watching us now, the idea of amber kits and playing in Barnet would put you in a right ol tizz. As it is, history starts from the 1950s, we go from there, that’s now the rules.ricardobee wrote:" . . . horrible 1930s amber kits, . . ."

If you go all the way back to bees pre-history, it's black shirts and white shorts (or knickers - still less embarrassing than today's performance). Might as well get prepared for the funereal vibe.
I think Blackpool - The Tangerines - would take exception to being described as 'orange'

I thought that too. Looked like it was sponsorless, so probably a different Jako template for now.Ajtheone04 wrote:Am I the only one that thinks the GK kit loach is wearing is different to last year's green one
