Not at all confident about this one. Our away form has been sketchy and York are on the up under Ardley.

I’d be looking at York to win & BTTS at 9/2.

My pessimism got the better of me on Tuesday. I thought York would be a really tricky game but listening to the radio coverage it seemed we were all over them, the match stats bore that out. So I got what I deserved….Nothing. Serves me right.
Back to normal (I hope) on Saturday as we go to bottom of the table Kidderminster. We will win this one and I am expecting a clean sheet.

Kidderminster win 11/5
Bees win 11/10
Draw 13/5

I will go full out on the Bees win and get back Tuesday’s losses.

Good luck all.

Well we did get the win up at Kidderminster so I am a happy hoppy once again.
It was not the most convincing display but I am sure we will play better against AFC Fylde and pick up the three points. We may even go top if Chesterfield do the decent thing and lose at home to Bromley.

The bookies are not doing the decent thing, though…

Bees win 8/13
Fylde win 4/1
Draw 16/5

It might be worth a HT/FT punt…

HT Bees FT Bees 6/4
HT Draw FT Bees 4/1
HT Fylde FT Bees 20/1

Good luck all.

Well, did anyone do the HT/FT bet at 20/1? No? Nor did I.
Fortune favours the brave. And I wasn’t brave!

We are huge favourites to win at Dorking.

Dorking win 4/1
Bees win 7/10
Draw 3/1

It could be worth doing an In Play bet tomorrow to see if the odds get a bit more favourable.

Good luck all.

We have got a potential banana skin to deal with on Saturday. Aveley are no mugs and we must treat them with respect and not expect an easy ride.

The bookies have us as big favourites to win, and I am anticipating just that. BUT, odds of 4/9, for me, is a no-no, however there is more than one way to skin a cat, and that way is Correct Score betting.

Aveley win 9/2
Bees win 4/9
Draw 16/5

Sample of Correct Scores….
Aveley win 1 0 20/1
Aveley win 2 0. 33/1
Bees win 1 0. 9/1
Bees win 2 0. 15/2
Bees win 3 0. 10/1
Bees win 4 0. 16/1
Draw 1 1. 8/1
Draw 2 2. 14/1
Draw 3 3. 40/1

Take your pick!

Good luck all.

Well, I bet that late equaliser from Aveley bust a few accumulators on Saturday. Grrrr.

With tomorrow’s replay one would assume that the odds on a Bees win will be even meaner than they were on Saturday. After all the Bees have home advantage. Our home record is exemplary. The game is being played on grass. Aveley will be missing the two players who were sent off. Kanu possibly back for us.
Actually, although the price is still odds-on, the 8/15 is more generous that the 4/9 which was offered on Saturday.

Bees win 8/15
Aveley win 9/2
Draw 3/1

With the England game on, getting to and from The Hive is going to be an absolute nightmare. The attendance will be low and that may help Aveley. Even so, I do expect a Barnet win and I am praying the job will be done within the 90 minutes.

Good luck all.

The punters came in for those “generous” odds last Tuesday so the Bees finally went off 1/3 favourites.
Its not much better tomorrow.

Bees win 2/5
Maidenhead win 13/2
Draw 18/5

I think that this game may not be as easy as the odds suggest.
The Magpies won their away FA Cup fixture last week at Weston-Super-Mare by 3 0 and their previous three NL matches were all draws against decent clubs, Rochdale, Oldham and Chesterfield.

I am toying with doing a small punt on the draw at 18/5.

Good luck all.

If Reece Smith is fit Maidenhead might cause us trouble. If he isn't they won't. He's their only attacking player with any consistent end product.

Toby Sho-Silva was a menace when he was at Halifax a few years ago , guessing he's not been consistent for Theresa May's boys?

It's pretty much the first thing he's done, has looked quite limited and unfit otherwise.

Those of you who are backing the Bees to win each game must be really pleased with yourselves. Gone are the days of decent odds but, as they say, a win is a win.

2nd v 3rd on Tuesday evening, so surely the bookies will be offering slightly better odds on a Bees win?
Well, no actually.

Bees win 4/6
Solihull win 19/4
Draw 33/10

Those 19/4 odds on the away win are massive considering Solihull are 3rd in the league! It just shows how much respect the punters and the bookies have for the Bees at the moment.

I may do an In-play bet in the hope that those 4/6 odds drift a little. Should we go a goal behind they will, and we all know that the game is never over until the fat lady sings.

Good luck all.

Another game looms where the Bees are big odds-on favourites.
Notwithstanding being at home on their artificial pitch You can get a huge 5/1 on an Oxford win (no, I am not betting on that). I am fully expecting a Bees win, even with a patched up squad.

Oxford win 5/1
Bees win 1/2
Draw 7/2

I might have a very small flutter on Brunt (14/1) or Hartigan (16/1) as the first goalscorer.

Good luck all.

FA CUP…. Yayyyyy!!!!!

I know the current fad is to put League aspirations ahead of a cup run but I definitely don’t go along with that.
I LOVE this competition, and I wouldn’t mind betting Dean Brennan and TK think the same. We are two wins away from the possibility of a game against a Premier League team and, on paper, the chances of a win on Saturday do look good.
Without counting chickens I am fairly confident of a Bees win. Having said that I was equally confident prior to the Aveley away game!
£41000 prize money to the winners of this match. Nothing to the losers.

Curzon Ashton win 5/1
Bees win 4/7
Draw 18/5

The 4/7 is a bit mean so how about a HT/FT bet?

Bees/Bees 6/4
Draw/Bees 15/4
Curzon/Bees 25/1

Good luck all.
