You can tell the transfer window is open when Posh try to start a bidding war for Ronnie Edwards
Going Indieground 7pm Tuesday, https://www.madwaspradio.com/
Re: Ronnie Edwards
It does seem like Macanthony is desperate to sell him, and the more desperate he gets, the lower the price will go.

Re: Ronnie Edwards
Not desperate at all, believes the player should be playing at a higher level, they have a figure and won't scrimp on it, hence why he didn't go in the summer.
He's under contract for 18 months still.

Re: Ronnie Edwards
From what I've read theyre cash strapped. The stadium is owned by a company in administration and needs work carried out on it, they pay rent to use their academy as they don't own it and they've just reached a settlement with a company which they owed £14 million to avoid administration. Selling Edwards is a priority for them, and all clubs interested know it.tonbridgebee wrote: ↑04 Jan 2024, 20:00Not desperate at all, believes the player should be playing at a higher level, they have a figure and won't scrimp on it, hence why he didn't go in the summer.

According to the last years accounts that were 3 months overdue, they made £1 million profit and paid Barry Fry £300k.
Re: Ronnie Edwards
If we get half of ten million for him we should retire his shirt. Anyone any idea what his number was.
Re: Ronnie Edwards
Apparently Crystal palace very interested in him and talks on going. Suppose it's fingers crossed, don't see if expect for one min even half of the figure going round would be invested by TK, but if he used part of it this would hugely improve our squad.
Re: Ronnie Edwards
If it is £5 million. it is logical that the missing stand is built

Even if it is 5 million surely it won't be a lump sum?

Let’s hope Posh don’t go under and Barnet finish at the rear line of a long line of creditors.beew wrote: ↑04 Jan 2024, 21:27From what I've read theyre cash strapped.
