It’s funny but Wealdstone can’t get relegated.
Guess cos wood play fleet last game ?
Yes, although if Wood beat Ebbsfleet 1-0 and Wealdstone lose 4-0 at Southend and York’s and Woking’s result allow, then they would get relegated!
Now that really would be funny!
Very much so, big ask though.
Bit like us back in 2006 for last game at Rushden, it needed alot to go against us to go down.
About half of the division was still involved in the relegation dogfight on the final day of the season, I remember.

I seem to remember that whilst we looked likely to escape, there was a strange situation that if we and Bury had particular score lines, we'd finish level on points, goals for and goals against and there was talk of an outside chance of a play off deciding match at Walsall ( as in being between the 2 clubs on M6) to decide the relegated team.
This scenario relied on us not scoring ( I think) so once we scored, we could then be separated by who scored more goals.

Think you’re right! Just hope we avoid them at The Hive. Got to cement that 2nd place. Halifax having a shocker

Halifax to get in with 2 0-0s, win 3 games on pens after 0-0;'s and get promoted despite not scoring in their last 7 games of the season!!

Well, they are the shoot-out specialists; they won 3 on their way to winning the trophy last season, and their giant goalkeeper Sam Johnson has a reputation as a penalty-saver. Why waste your goals during the game itself?

Need Aldershot to avoid defeat tonight & then win at Dagenham to make sure Southend go on their holidays on Saturday evening as don't trust Halifax any more!

Gateshead are guaranteed to finish somewhere between 4th and 7th. I would not be a bit surprised if they rested a large chunk of their first team tonight. If they do then that would make Aldershot’s task a lot easier.

I guess Gateshead are no different to us in that they would prefer Aldershot or Halifax to get that final play off spot instead of Southend.

i was thinking that re Gateshead but thought they would go strong and try and beat shots and then rest players v Bromley as its a dead game for Bromley bar trying to finish runners up.

We don't want Bromley to have an easy ride against Gateshead.
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

I think Gateshead will go strong to try to get a home tie in the eliminators. There’s also no love lost between them and Aldershot after the circumstances and the fallout from last week’s postponement, so they won’t be inclined to do the Shots any favours!

Apparently according to the Aldershot programme notes last Saturday, Aldershot have made an official complaint regarding Gateshead's statement / conduct.

Unfortunately that's less likely than Halifax stopping them IMO - wouldn't be surprised if Aldershot lose both tbh.

Why not?

Often an easy ride can lull you into a false sense of security for your next game
