A crackpot theory no doubt, but was the diabolical cost-cutting 2020/21 season another astute TK business plan that paved the way for the successes of the last two seasons?
If so, was being beaten 5-1 by Kings Lynn among the many other awful results worth it for where we are today and may just be next season?
season 2020/21 Vs Now
Re: season 2020/21 Vs Now
Only clever in hindsight really as we survived that year due to the NLN/NLS being declared null and void

There is no excuse for that simply terrible season we had, with that terrible pub manager and those terrible pub players. Simply atrocious.
Re: season 2020/21 Vs Now
More down to the amazing job Dean Brennan and his staff have done in completely rebuilding the squad over the past 2 seasons, had we got that appointment wrong lord knows where we would be now on the back of the mountain Harry Kewell's 7 games left us to climb.
Re: season 2020/21 Vs Now
Oh but Harry Kewell did tell his mate Mark Schwarzer that he was sacked too soon, that he was going to win the next 7 matches but TK wouldn't give him the time to do so.
