Adebayo Rowling was a standout at wing back for ebbsfleet when they won the NLS before joining Notts. Never really got a proper go because they had nemane in front of him in the pecking order. Would probably be a decent pick up for us

Given we finished second I'd say the probability is more likely that we finish lower , happy to be proved wrong though....
This is the fundamental issue with Barnet, there isnt a winners mindset in the players, staff or the fans. We'll never achieve anything with that outlook.
Sorry, but how does the fan mindset contribute to on the pitch success? We all want Barnet to do well
Players/staff probably see the forum maybe

I'm not saying they're all inherently linked, but we as a fanbase need to have more ambition and higher standards.

36 now and his legs may have gone a bit but Jim O'Brien to play as a defensive-minded midfielder would make sense to me. One of those that DB likes who fits the mould of coming in as player / coach. Notts fans seem gutted that he's leaving too.

Pretty sure Jacob Mendy is out of contract at Wrexham. Worked with Brennan at Wealdstone

Baldwin the standout on that retained list for me as well but with 40+ league appearances you'd think he'd be able to stay in the EFL.
Hope we don't go for the goalie Stone, he seems to have garnered a reputation as a mistake waiting to happen

Talking of Notts County, I expect his wage expectations are far too high but I was seriously impressed with Bostock last season. I remember watching him and thinking ‘I wish we had someone like that, someone comfortable on the ball who always wants it and is always ready to receive it from the centre halves’… and then we got one, in Hartigan and he’s been excellent. But if we can’t/don’t sign Hartigan…

Notts fans seem to be saying that his legs are going, at 32, but Hartigan hasn’t got any legs anyway, so there’d be no change there!

Surely you're well aware that negativity is palpable?

Big post-relegation clearout at Sutton.

https://www.suttonunited.net/news/2024/ ... he-season/

He’s 32 now but if Brennan is going to stick with the ‘box’ midfield, with two advanced centre mids, Harry Beautyman has always been a standout player at National League level (for Welling and Sutton). Gets goals too, and you need that end product if you’re only playing one out-and-out striker. We had him on trial many years ago I think (under Davids, maybe, in 2013?).

What do we think our highest paid player is on? Would it be Nicke?
Any idea what Big John was on back in the day?
