My favourite, apart from Nicky Evans +1 was Frank Murphy and Bully.
More often than not a sub, Murphy scored some amazing goals. Not least at Enfailed one Christmas when he took it around 5 or 6 defenders before rolling it into the net. How I loved the 6 point Christmas's of 20 odd years ago.

Freedman and Cooper looked like it would be a good partnership, then one of them faded away very quickly. bull and Carter scored loads between them, a lot of it would be credited to the good service provided by the likes of Paul Showler and the fact we always comitted plenty of bodies forward to assist. In more modern times, Graz and Hatch worked well. Hatch the battering ram softening up the defence and graz the clever poacher.
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

Apart from the ones already mentioned

Fairbrother (36 goals) and Brown (? goals) with Greavesie getting around 20 from midfield in 1976-77 season

Kandol and Norville was one that got away... what could have been.

But overall in my time, +1 for Devine & Hodges.

Sorry PG but Greaves joined us the following season - great shout about Fairbrother and Brown though in 76-77.

the memory plays tricks at my age and when at work with limited internet access....JF is one of my alltime favourite Bees a no-nonsense CF who banged them in, it didn;t seem right that Greavesie was in that 76-77 team when I wrote it as I think he top-scored from midfield in 77-78.
