BFC XI v Bedfont & Feltham (A)

Post: # 155844Post buzzzzinbee »

Not happening today after we failed to turn up without giving notice.

Absolute disgrace IMO. Very unprofessional from the club to screw over a Combined Counties League club.

That is shoddy.

Very poor and disappointing from the club.

I hope they do something to make up for it.

Presumably compensation involved, not something we should be budgeting for....

That's a disgrace. Must be an explanation behind it

Sounds like a poor show. I hope the club issues a statement on this.

How can we just not show up? Is this even true, it's actually unbelievable. Cancel if necessary but don't just not show up. Never known that happen at any level even before mobile phones!!

Club apology on the website,
When the friendly is rearranged I intend to go, if only to help in my own small way in compensating a small club that we have let down. Would be good if a few more could do the same and give them a surprise boost.

Sounds like a classic case of two or more people leaving the job to each other and nobody actually doing it.

Totally agree Steve. I will look out for the rearranged fixture and attend to try and make amends for this mishap.

It would be good if we could send a stronger team too for the re-arranged date, hopefully drawing a bigger crowd for them.

I thought that at first. However the way they tried to embarrass Barnet on social media over the issue which was clearly a communication error was unprofessional. Sod them.

If it was the Club's understanding that the fixture had been cancelled why did the Club not put news of the cancellation on its website?
Did any of our fans make the trip to Bedfont?

Doubt it, the our club never made any announcement of the game in the first place.

Agreed, also why arrange three in the first place and then cancel this one in particular? Which was arranged first, this or QPR? It seems out of order.
Hope we pay for any costs Bedfont may have encountered.
