Barnet Primary Schools Football
Association
by Alex Jones
Barnet
FCSA are involved in local schools football by sponsoring
their activities.
Recently
the local primary schools have been holding tournaments
at Livingstone School, East Barnet.
The year
6 competition was shared by Sacred Heart and Barnet Hill.
St.
Theresa's triumphed in year 5, winning an exciting
encounter against St. Agnes.
There
was another shared situation in the Girls 6-a-side
between Foulds and Church Hill.
Finally
congratulations to the year 4 Broadway Shield winners
Moss Hall, under the kindly but firm tutorage of
Westcombe Drive stalwart Geoff Niblett.
These
children owe the organisation of the events to Lynne
Ogden, another Bees fan who is regularly seen selling
matchday draw tickets at Underhill.
Last
year Darren Currie was guest of honour at our
presentation evening, which in the past has been attended
by the likes of Warren Goodhind, Paul Wilson and Andrew
Adie.
Speaking
personally, I'd like to see more involvement between the
club and local schools. These children could be the
future of Barnet FC long after I've departed.
