Re: FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round
I thought I'd buy my tickets this morning for next Saturday's game against Chelmsford but there's no mention of the game on the club website under fixtures or tickets. Does anybody know when they will on sale? I've written to the Club.

Re: AFC Fylde (Hive) The Hive for a Fiver? Frack Yes! Match Thread
I was at the Emirates last night and was surprised to see how similar the Arsenal playing style was to Barnet’s! Both teams work on possession football, keeping the ball, slow build ups, lots and lots of passes and few shots. Indeed, apparently Arteta, like DB, has told players not to shoot from out...

Re: Fylde £5 ticket offer
I hope there's a plan if people turn up hoping to buy £5 tickets at the Hive, apart from just turning them away, of course.

Re: Fylde £5 ticket offer
Am I right in thinking that the club have only relied on existing fans to drum up support for the offer or have they used social media etc to spread the word? Second point: I'm always surprised at the number of people queuing at the ticket office before games. Do they not know they can buy on line o...

Not a performance I'd want to see from a team seeking promotion.

Re: Aldershot (A) The Match Thread On Top Of Mount Rushmoor
Yet again we can't handle a long ball down the wing to a fast attacker.
Some good moves by us though.

Lots of passing, no shots, few crosses. They are attacking quicker and have had about 4 shots.

Re: Braintree (Hive) The Cheer Up Seething Dean Match Thread
However, it also appears that the players do not know, or are not proficient at, how to convert all this possession into scoring goals. We're the top goal-scorers in the league with 19 goals from 9 games, while playing most of them without a #9. No side has scored 1 goal fewer than us. 3 sides have...

Re: Braintree (Hive) The Cheer Up Seething Dean Match Thread
I re-watched the Braintree game but at 2 x normal speed. This clearly shows the preferred tactics and formations of each team, how each player moves and which areas of the pitch are used. Also where the breakdowns occur. I recommend doing this to give a different perspective. I understand that DB is...

Re: Meet the Gaffer
Such a shame such short notice. I'd love to be there but can't get to the Hive before 2.00.
In an earlier post I'd hoped for a fans' open session so this is a good start.

Re: Braintree (Hive) The Cheer Up Seething Dean Match Thread
This article is very interesting and probably explains why DB, and other managers, ban shooting from outside the box. https://www.bbc.com/sport/extra/7ruba7shs4/the-slow-death-of-the-screamer The argument that you are more likely to score if you shoot from nearer the goal is on the face of it obviou...
