Re: Rob Elliott
Elliott was obviously gave into the type of temptation that DB turned his back on. Elliott's decision was probably, at least in part, driven by the Heed's ground situation.

Re: FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round
Taunton Town would be nice. Could use my bus pass to get there. Failing that a trip to Bath City or Plymouth Parkway. The winner of Chippenham and Weston-super-Mare replay is another acceptable tie for me or, a trip to the village of Bishop's Cleeve would be interesting if the get through a replay. ...

Re: Aldershot (A) The Match Thread On Top Of Mount Rushmoor
Three points from an away game on a miserable Tuesday night. As a fan, you'd have to be very picky to find fault with that.

Re: Meet the Gaffer
Any decent striker (or other player) should jump at the chance of joining a club with ambition. It's all about being in with the chance of winning things and moving up.

Re: Meet the Gaffer
RHJ injured in a training session and out for three months! One third of of a season. That seems extraordinary. Did he get hit by a runaway oil tanker? Did he eat some of our sweets washed down with a glass of Legends beer? Why the incredulity? Players can and do get injured in training, even seriou...

I think DB has the air of Van Morrison about him. Btw I love Van Morrison too.

I would love to come to every midweek game, but, now living on the Somerset/Devon border makes this nigh on impossible. Perhaps I should change my username.

Re: Bees related injustices, grudges and righteous indignation
I still get rankled about the time Boston rescued a point seven minutes into five minutes of added time after Steve Evans kept throwing tantrums at the officials, demanding more “Fergie Time”. It was a similar story when we went down in well-overtime on that wet night at Brizzle Rovers.

Re: Deadline day
Gambling addict with a attitude problem - I am glad my premiership team never touched him with a bargepole I don't know enough to disagree that he is an addict, but the gambling that goes on now is nothing to what went on in previous generations. Think of the stars you grew up watching. Now think o...

Re: Tamworth (Hive) The Pig's Ear Match Thread
Didn't we score 10 and 8 in successive home games? I think Burton and Mossley(?) were the victims. If it wasn't successive matches, they were pretty close together.

Re: Transfers 2024/25
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. If DB left his business til late he’d have criticism, now there’s questions because he’s doing it early. You can’t win I didn't criticise and was happy with the early business. I just posed a question and didn't supply the answer. Anything beats the old days w...

Re: Transfers 2024/25
In some ways, it's been a strange summer for us signings--wise. We did a lot of early business, which excited most of us, but now our perceived rivals seem to be catching us up. Would it have been better to have held off for a few weeks to see who was out there? That remains to be seen.

Re: Who is the best player to have played at The Hive?
Collins John end of!!! His 2 appearances for us were both before we left Underhill. I remember after he'd signed ,his taking his seat in the Underhill Stand, never seen such an unfit footballer. I too was guilty of not reading the question correctly. For the record, I was originally going for Adam ...
