Re: Boston United (Hive) The Boston Bee Party Match Thread
I’ve never seen that Danny Brown stunner at York St in 02. I was away at the time so missed the game, and the goals don’t seem to be online anywhere, despite the match having been live on Sky TV. Even the brilliant ‘One Barnet Goal’ (a day) Twitter account which ran during the pandemic couldn’t fin...

Re: Bring Barnet Back - campaign thread
I also expect if we do move back home, our ties with The Hive will be severed including valuable income streams, and are sold as a going concern This could happen if we stay at The Hive, too, indeed at some point it is likely to. The things that actually make money at The Hive are not dependent on ...

Re: Rob Elliott
I keep seeing references here and elsewhere to Brennan turning down the Swindon job. As he made clear in his BeesPod interview in preseason, it wasn’t a case of him turning it down; Kleanthous rejected Swindon’s approach and refused permission for him to talk to them. That’s not to say that Brennan ...

Re: FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round
Biggleswade FC vs York City has got to be in with a chance of being TV pick, too. Biggleswade were only formed a few years ago and are also in uncharted territory, while York have football league pedigree and are one of the biggest clubs in the competition at this stage.

Re: AFC Fylde (Hive) The Hive for a Fiver? Frack Yes! Match Thread
Can’t see York maintaining this form long term. If we pull clear of FGR this could be our season That’s a big if! FGR have a manager who’s won this league and higher divisions before and they have vast resources to call on, having already signed League One-level players and top strikers at this lev...

Re: Fylde £5 ticket offer
Did a quick rough tally up (Get a life, I know), and looks approx 1500 home fans now, though someone else might be able to confirm. For comparison, looking at Downhill Second Half, the number of home fans for the Saturday games so far have been Braintree 1507 Tamworth total attendance 1353 no break...

Re: Fylde £5 ticket offer
You can bet your life people will turn up at the ticket office tomorrow thinking the £5 offer is still live. … Of course, it will still be live, it just won’t apply if they try to buy from the ticket office! The offer is open up to kick off, but is online only, presumably to avoid a situation where...

Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
Blimey, I see that Rossi Jarvis is still playing. He lined up alongside Jamar Loza for Leiston at Bedford Town last night.
Meanwhile Albert Adomah made his 700th career appearance last night. And this morning he’s told off a QPR fan on Twitter for being rude about Barnet. Whaddaguy.

Re: Fylde £5 ticket offer
I’ve never known the ticket office to be closed or unprepared to sell people a ticket on a match day. Other clubs such as Northampton and Oxford United, who unlike us have seen tremendous growth in attendances, had this arrangement in place back in the mid-00s and have got on fine without sales at t...

Re: Proposed competition with Premier League U23
… We may well be missing out on games which would have seen a fairly full Hive, with adverse impact to the competitiveness of the playing budget… In 17/18 we played in the Football League Trophy, a higher profile competition with a Wembley Final. We had a home game vs Tottenham, the ‘biggest’ tie w...
