And they don’t have a keeper on the bench. Chasing around for a whole half with ten men trying to protect the outfield player in goal won’t be helping their fatigue issues!

Re: (Near) Rivals
Hopefully Stevenage will want someone with League experience, possibly even League 1 experience, for example former Cambridge boss Mark Bonner

Re: Play Offs Display
What is the logic behind that decision by the NL? I just don’t get it. Is it me?? Am I missing something? Possibly a miscommunication? I'd hazard a guess that since it's mathematically possible to finish 3rd (despite there being no real prospect of it happening), the date of the game can't yet offi...

Re: Big games tonight
I think Gateshead will go strong to try to get a home tie in the eliminators. There’s also no love lost between them and Aldershot after the circumstances and the fallout from last week’s postponement, so they won’t be inclined to do the Shots any favours!

Re: Big games tonight
Halifax to get in with 2 0-0s, win 3 games on pens after 0-0;'s and get promoted despite not scoring in their last 7 games of the season!! Well, they are the shoot-out specialists; they won 3 on their way to winning the trophy last season, and their giant goalkeeper Sam Johnson has a reputation as ...

Re: Big games tonight
Think it would just need to be a 3-0 defeat for Wealdstone for them to be relegated if Ebbsfleet lose by one (and Woking get at least a draw, and York lose by fewer or get a result), as they’ve scored fewer than Ebbsfleet.

Re: (Near) Rivals
The table doesn’t lie - there’s been a hair’s breadth between us this season, as broad only as the paint on the underside of the bar hit by Callum Stead’s shot at Chesterfield while it was still 0-0. More seriously, I would be rather annoyed if I supported one of York or Wealdstone’s rivals for surv...

Re: Big games tonight
Expect Bromley to win, but if they do I hope they don’t rack up the goals. If they don’t overcome our +5 goal difference over them across tonight and their final game vs Gateshead, then a draw on Saturday vs Kidderminster will suffice for 2nd place. Not a huge deal in the scheme of things, as who kn...

Re: (Near) Rivals
Tonight’s result confirms that if the run of the ball had converted our dominance in both the home and away games vs Chesterfield into goals, we’d be level on points with them going into the final day. I think any Chesterfield fan, if they are honest with themselves, will always look back at their 2...

Re: FC Halifax (Club Tropicana) The Milk Float Match Thread
What are the dates for the play-offs? Are both Semi-finals being played on April 28th? What time is kick off? Does 2nd play the winner of 5th/6th and 3rd vs 4th-7th? I have found conflicting dates online 2nd plays the winner of 5/6. The play-off semi featuring that tie is on the Saturday, the other...

Re: LUKE GARRARD to leave wood
Someone could very well go down with 53 points, which I imagine would be tough to take! A bit like when we somehow went down from League 2 with 51 points, despite there only being 2 relegation places.

Re: FC Halifax (Club Tropicana) The Milk Float Match Thread
We don't know which semi final we're going to be in yet, but we might well do come Tuesday. Once we know the kick-off time, we can start pre-selling tickets like we did with Boreham Wood last year. We really should be going all out to fill the Hive for this. Also, assuming Southend aren't in the pi...

Would’ve thought the ‘integrity of the competition’ also refers to enabling their Aldershot game to be played Wednesday rather than Thursday, so as not to force Aldershot to travel through the night and into the early hours of Friday morning the day before another away match kicking off at 12:15 to ...

Re: Chairman's statement
I thought the area the new stadium was to be built on was the old cricket ground which TK owns? There are houses built on all the roads which go around the site as well as the school, so how can the council object to building? No, he had the lease for the site, which he took on from the cricket clu...
