Re: Sutton - Best Away Atmosphere Since ?

There’s definitely been some ‘creative fiddling’ of Monday’s attendance … there was definitely more than 1,103 of us and my theory is that the extra allocation that was given to us and would’ve taken our numbers to 1,500 was simply just attributed to Sutton’s figure … and even that doesn’t tally wi...

Re: Sutton (Away) The Sutton Impact March Thread

For anyone who wants to watch the goals with alternative commentary, it’s a fun watch! https://x.com/barnetfc/status/1914621946836168859?s=46 … Overall, it was the sort of aggressive team performance that we needed and while Sutton caused us problems in the first half, we dealt with them pretty wel...

Re: State Express

Spurs did this with Chas & Dave in 91 - https://youtu.be/7TKNDCmIFD8?si=BBq1XU8cSfaD_WrX … so who’s going to record the novelty song about our uncanny knack of achieving glory when the year ends in 5? Everything But the Girl’s Ben Watt is a fan, but I don’t think novelty songs are his thing! Pau...

Re: Sutton (Away) The Sutton Impact March Thread

I had a terrible view but wasn't Evan's first tackle for the penalty outside the box? Was that a foul? Deano says it should have been a penalty so it should have been. It all balances out over the season. First one outside the box was dubious. Can’t really tell from either angle but think he got th...

Re: Sutton (Away) The Sutton Impact March Thread

Not sure if it was me, as no one else has mentioned it but was there a "melee" around the touchlines after the Evans "tackle" or another one just after. I thought a red card had been brandished to someone on the Sutton bench, Deano looked like he was appealing for the card not t...

Re: Sutton on Monday

There is seating but you have to call the club to get and you are sectioned off within the home stand. Interesting that they are sectioning off part of the Main Stand for away supporters. If you just went by the Sutton website you wouldn’t know and would end up buying a ticket anywhere in the home ...

Over the last 6 York are top, 2 points ahead of us.
Very happy for them to get two more points than us over the next four, too!

Re: Tickets for Saturday

They put a fan zone behind the former away end and have made it home fans only. So it’s the curved, open corner terrace and the small covered terrace opposite the main stand for us.

Re: Braintree (Away) The Braintree No Train Bees Match Thread

As a regular attendee at Underhill fron 199< I loved watching Barnet despite some ups and downs, mostly good memories. Moved to Braintree in 2012 and have been going there ever since, still go to Barnet when the 2 teams meet. I also had a spell as secretary last season which was a real eye opener, ...

Sadly, Wrexham have set a model which all aspiring lower league teams feel they should follow. Truro next... Re: Wealdstone (Hive) The Trolling Stones Match Thread

This Margerison character that someone does as a caricature of a bitter and twisted Wealdstone fan is very funny. At times they almost go too far for it to be believable; I mean, can you imagine if there was a real person who was this sour about Barnet’s emphatic superiority over them for around 4 d...

Re: Braintree (Away) The Braintree No Train Bees Match Thread

It won't necessarily be the case that 2 wins and a draw is enough. Our goal difference is currently better than York but that could change if they win all their remaining games. 8 points definitely does it though. Yes, I keep reading here and on social media that our goal difference is ‘like an ext...

Re: Braintree (Away) The Braintree No Train Bees Match Thread

I don’t like players celebrating in front of opposing fans and never have, especially the git who scored Farnborough’s last-gasp winner in front of the North Terrace in 2001/02 and decided to goad the few dozen of us assembled there. But it’s endemic now, and our players have done it repeatedly over...

Re: Braintree (Away) The Braintree No Train Bees Match Thread

Was encouraged to see Braintree’s strongest line-up played out a reportedly hard-fought 0-0 draw with Sutton last night in the National League Mickey Mouse cup semi-final. Only a couple of subs made, too, so hopefully a bit of fatigue in those legs! Thank goodness we chose to swerve that abomination...
