Re: FC Halifax (Club Tropicana) The Milk Float Match Thread
A huge achievement by DB and the players whatever happens next - all credit to them. Let’s hope we can make it count!

Re: Bromley (THTS) The Thin Lilywhite Duke Match Thread
Watching their goal again, it's Hartigan who switches off and loses his man, although RHJ was also ball watching. That’s RHJ’s man - he just watches him run and doesn’t bother to track him until it’s too late. Only on the pitch a few minutes and has to cost us a point. His recent performances have ...

Re: Bromley (THTS) The Thin Lilywhite Duke Match Thread
Sorry but as I’ve been saying for weeks, it’s absolutely insane that we have only one, 35-year-old LCB at the club and so end up having to play attacking midfielders or right-backs there whenever people get injured. Potter was the cover and wasn’t replaced when he left. A total failure of transfer p...

Re: Maidenhoof (Away) The Sparkes Fly Match Thread
Too many players not at the races today: RHJ and Brunt totally anonymous once again, Kabamba very wasteful, Keeley always has a massive mistake in him (time to end this experiment and get Laurie back in) and even Gorman was unusually sloppy. It was a game that was crying out for some pace and direct...

Re: Maidenhoof (Away) The Sparkes Fly Match Thread
They just want it more than us. Not acceptable.

Re: Maidenhoof (Away) The Sparkes Fly Match Thread
Calamity goalkeeping. If Laurie getting beaten at the front post is a droppable offence then goodness knows what that madness from Keeley is.

Re: Oxford City (THTS) The Match Thread Trolling Away The Stones
Not a vintage performance but did the job against a team that defended pretty well. Didn’t think any of the players that came in impressed particularly. Gorman on the other hand gets better and better - I think he’s improved a lot even in the time he’s been with us - and Stead is also developing int...

Re: Gateshead still signing players
We really need to sign a left-sided centre-back. If Okimo gets injured there is no one who can comfortably play there.

Re: Solihull Moors (Away) The Less Is Moors Match Thread
Feels like DB made some very odd decisions with his substitutions on the second half. A draw is the most we deserved - but it needn't have been this way. I think Gorman had been booked already and had given the ball away a few times, so DB didn’t want us to go down to 10. However, there was no obvi...

Another special mention to Okimo too - the man is ridiculous. 35 years old, often up against much faster strikers and never puts a foot wrong. Thought he was excellent again yesterday.

Re: Wanderers (THTS) The Match Thread Dorking at Crossed Purposes
Going to be dead quiet on here tonight no doubt. I'm sure some were scratching around and ready to single out Brunt despite a 5 goal dismantling of survival-hungry Dorking. But alas, he also popped up with a goal to make it 6 :y: At least now we can stop the silly nonsense about the wheels coming o...

Re: Wanderers (THTS) The Match Thread Dorking at Crossed Purposes
Get in. Thought DB got it all wrong tactically last week and spot on today. I really liked us in a 4-2-3-1 with the front four causing absolute havoc. Special mention to Stead who is developing into some player. 11 points needed from a possible 18 to guarantee top three.

Re: Woking (Away) The Mansfield Town Match Thread
Another really testy DB interview. “A loss away from home, what do you make of it?” “A loss away from home, that’s what I make of it” Grow up FFS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Perhaps if proper questions were asked there would be proper answers How is “what did you make of the game?” not a pe...

Re: Woking (Away) The Mansfield Town Match Thread
So frustrating - Woking weren’t great, we were just terrible. For all his major strengths in recruiting and building a good team spirit, DB still gets it wrong tactically too frequently and is often too slow to change it when he does. I’ll be blunt: the tactics today were joke. Connor Smith said in ...

Re: Woking (Away) The Mansfield Town Match Thread
Hartigan isn’t doing anything wrong - the players have clearly been told to bypass the midfield. Absolutely ludicrous that we’re playing like this and the management team thinks nothing needs changing.
