Re: Boston United (Hive) The Boston Bee Party Match Thread
I don’t think Nartey was with the injured players at the end of the game and don’t think he has been for a while. Anyone know if he’s still at the club?

Re: Boston United (Hive) The Boston Bee Party Match Thread
Totally dominant from start to finish, though I suspect DB will be very frustrated by how wasteful we were because that could and probably should have been about 8-1. The difference in class was insane and the performance deserved a much more decisive scoreline. In fact I’d say it was one of the bes...

Re: Boston United (Hive) The Boston Bee Party Match Thread
Can’t do much more if Nicke and Steady are going to fail to convert any of these clear cut chances. Nicke in particular has been miles off it. Incredibly soft goal to concede - need to see it again but Hayes’ starting position looked very poor.

Re: Boston United (Hive) The Boston Bee Party Match Thread
Wonder if Rhys Browne will make more than 10 appearances this season. DB saying he knew how to manage his injuries appears to have been premature. Hope Chapman’s isn't anything serious.

Re: AFC Fylde (Hive) The Hive for a Fiver? Frack Yes! Match Thread
Not a vintage performance but enough quality in the end to get a deserved win. We dominated possession but weren’t great with the ball, especially in the first half - although Fylde deserve some credit for stopping us playing. We still could easily have won 4-0 if Stead had his shooting boots on. As...

Need more from the likes of Glover, Kanu, Hartigan and Stead - not quite at their usual levels. Still time.

Re: Braintree (Hive) The Cheer Up Seething Dean Match Thread
I think Zak Brunt deserves a lot of credit for the huge progress he’s made this season. Consistently one of the best players on the pitch, and far less prone to going missing than last year.

Re: Braintree (Hive) The Cheer Up Seething Dean Match Thread
All this team currently lacks is someone capable of converting all the great chances we create. Steady should have had a hatrick already.

Re: Braintree (Hive) The Cheer Up Seething Dean Match Thread
Which one of Stead, Brunt and Chapman gets dropped when Kabamba is back? Very tough decision, but a good problem to have!

Yes, thought he handled it really well!EastBarnetFan wrote: ↑12 Sep 2024, 08:37 Also fair play to the interviewer, who would have been completely blindsided by DB's words and tried to calmly steer the conversation away but DB wasn't having any of it. He'll remember that one for a while!

Re: DB interview
Dean Brennan - genius! So glad we have him at our club. Come on you Bees! Slightly concering if this is the Barnet Supporters’ Association response a prolonged rant about on Barnet supporters. How can this be construed as the BFCSA response from a personal account? Even if it was it's a positive re...

Re: DB interview
I’ve got no issue with him calling out a tiny minority shouting at him during the game, if they crossed a line. I do have an issue with him repeatedly suggesting the issue is the entire fan base, which is completely untrue and potentially damaging. “All I hear is negativity”? Does he not hear all th...

Re: Altrincham (Hive) The Alty Small Things Match Thread
If you really want togetherness then maybe don’t go on a lengthy rant about the entire fan base because one or two people shouted something at you during a game. Then he claims that, despite having signed about ten centre backs, he can’t sign a striker because supporters aren’t buying enough sweets....

Re: Altrincham (Hive) The Alty Small Things Match Thread
Great to get a last-gasp winner from a long throw but let’s be honest, having played six games in a row without a striker while supposedly aiming for promotion is mental. So many chances squandered yet again. If the right longer-term option isn’t available then use loans. Alternatively, you could t...
