Re: Eastleigh FC (THTS) The Return Flight to Sunderland Thread
Lawrie Walker carrying on where he left off against Southend... Their goal looked suspiciously offside to me. Was there a defender off camera playing him on?

Re: Rochdale (THTS) The Dale for Sale Match Thread
We haven't won back to back league matches since the Southend games in December which simply isn't good enough. Hopefully tomorrow will break that duck because it is something we desperately need to start doing in order to have any chance of maintaining top 3. Yeh I think after this appalling seaso...

Re: Aldershot (Away) The Underhill! Underhill! Match Thread
No-one likes to admit it but this sort of knackered performance - and the fact that key players are not available - is a direct result of playing first team in the Trophy. Come end of the season of course there's a chance it may not matter. But sides that prioritise promotion like Chesterfield this ...

Re: Wealdston (The 75% Stadium) The Sweet and Sour Match Thread
Need to learn from these errors. We've got the makings of an excellent team. But too soft at the back and lack the cutting edge up front. How often do we concede from long ball over the top leaving a defender 1-on-1 at the back in dangerous position. On 97 minutes we shouldn't be allowing that to ha...

Re: What’s needed to maintain Top 3 finish
The fact that so many clubs field weakened teams already cheapen the Trophy and the value of advancing in it. Chesterfield - like the top teams last year - clearly don't think much of it. Like it or not it will cost us points (not just York last year) - and extra fixtures will push our injury-hit sq...

Re: Radcliffe FC (Away) The Greater Manchester? I know Irwell Match Thread
Chesterfield have made 11 changes to their starting eleven and have no senior players involved. Hardly surprising. Wrexham, Notts, Chesterfield didn't feature in the latter stages of this Mickey Mouse cup last year. Only we picked up injuries and threw away points (most obviously York away) for FA ...

Re: Radcliffe FC (Away) The Greater Manchester? I know Irwell Match Thread
Hope we don't risk any important first team players in this one. Our best chance at Wembley remains playoffs if we can secure a top three finish which we are currently strong favourites for - despite our growing injury list. We saw how the Trophy affected the team last season... No different to how ...

Re: Altrincham (a) The Wynter Tour Match Thread
DB has a lot to answer for switching goalie for a young kid just brought in on loan. Walker had just played out of his skin - three clean sheets in a row, building an understanding with the defence and he gets dropped for a young loanee? It's brainless. All the pressure on Keeley who overplays at th...

The goal was all about Cropper but Laurie Walker man of the match by miles. Two world class saves. And how Southend didn't score in either game is beyond me. They must hate us!

Re: The Southend double header
I always rated HT and was sad to see him leave. Wes less so - aside from fitness problems he clearly had talent but went missing far too often when the team was struggling. Mauro is another ex-Bee at Southend - always loved watching him in a Bees shirt...

Re: Ebbsfleet (Away) The Station Lift on Platform 3 Match Thread
It's quite standard for teams to have poor spells in the middle of the season. We had one last year and rose from it very strongly. Really happy to see Gorman back in the team - he and Nicke and Collinge seemed head and shoulders above the rest of our team today. One player we are badly missing righ...
