Re: Dagenham (Hive)The In My Place Match Thread

I did think it was interesting how Collinge responded to the question about the Keeley signing on the commentary. His response was muted to say the least, in a fairly distanced way saying 'yes, he's a good addition to the squad'. As if to suggest LW still has a part to play this season and the play...

About time others started mentioning this.
To be honest I didn’t notice until injury time in the 2nd half

Re: RECKLESS FAMILY GOODY CORNER

There was a debate on the radio about why cheese footballs are only available at Christmas. Don't think there was a definitive answer. Anywhoo... I've just added a nice pack of orange and lemon jelly segments to the festive pile, which seems to have started accumulating a lot earlier this year! Arg...

Re: RECKLESS FAMILY GOODY CORNER

Anything with chocolate, white preferably. My top 3 for brevity:

Terry’s white chocolate orange - only do em at Christmas
Toblerone white chocolate large bar -
Brazil nuts coated with plain dark chocolate - sadly afaik these don’t come in white chocolate

Re: Kidderminster Harriers (Away) The Bird Strike Match Thread

https://harriers-online.co.uk/khfc/30-09-23-kidderminster-harriers-1-barnet-fc-2-match-report/ A very blunt and honest match report from Kidderminster prospective. I don’t think I’ve read an official match report quite like this one ever! Not sure it’s the official site - it’s a fans forum but was ...

Re: Attendance vs Aldershot tomorrow

Probably depends on the weather. It’s really windy locally (big tree down lunchtime in Whitchurch Lane) so hopefully it will improve as the day goes on

Re: How to improve attendances?

Average of first four home games, including 1 Tuesday match, for last season - 1439, this season 1562. Given that one of the first four last season was a Tuesday, which was only 1152, there appears to be little evidence of much, if any, increase in attendances, so far, following our successful seas...

Re: Altrincham (Hive) The Alt in Our Stars Match Thread

The forecast for tomorrow around kick off time is bright sunshine and 32 degrees. Apart from the effect on the players how will those sitting on the unprotected east side cope? To sit in those conditions for 2 hours is dangerous. There are often very young children in that area and they would be pa...

Re: How to improve attendances?

Has the club done leafleting/door knocking around the vicinity of The Hive? A team poster and a 3 game deal (3 games for 30 quid) could go down well within a 2 mile radius of The Hive? I think multiple community days a season would help too. There needs to be frequent and active community engagemen...

Re: How to improve attendances?

The 6 things they could do are 1) bring back the £2 per month Hive membership that gave 10% off ticket prices and food etc. make it £3 if they must. This creates a connection for those that can’t commit to a season ticket 2) bring in a 10 game carnet ticket for people that can’t commit to a season t...

Re: Coaches to Rochdale and Kidderminster

I prefer to get the coach from the Hive because parking my car there is easier than at the Everyman. There are quite a few who prefer The Hive. I’m sure I read a post somewhere that said it wasn’t viable unless it did both stops. When we went it started at Barnet then The Hive. On the way back it s...

Re: Hartlepool (TBC) The Match Thread Taking a Dip In The Pool

Just watched Colombia v Jamaica in the WWC. In terms of time wasting, harassing the ref and use of the "dark arts", i.e cheating, Colombia make Borehamwood look like beginners! England will have to keep their cool when they play them on Saturday. Any stamping on players in the Colombia ga...
