Re: Boston United (Hive) The Boston Bee Party Match Thread

Guilty of trying to score the perfect goal at times today one more pass from Kanu late on and we could have. Wore them down in the end they didn’t have a sniff in the 2nd half . Thought Kanu was excellent when he came on terrorised them in that last half hour. Agreed. Was really direct and made thi...

Re: Next Manager? Life after DB.

Gateshead losing Rob Elliot to Crawley has got me thinking about life after DB. You would expect that sooner or later someone will make DB an offer he can't refuse and we will be left once again be reliant on TK recruiting a new manager, (which has not always been a strength.... to be ultra-polite)...

Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)

Thought Jake Taylor was going to hit winner for Ipswich towards end of their game against Villa earlier. He played an instrumental role in their equaliser. The tractor boys clearly hold him in the high regard we held him in based on the reception he got when he came on. He’s never really got a chan...

Re: Aldershot (A) The Match Thread On Top Of Mount Rushmoor

Uniman61 - I think the point is that you have made repeated posts criticising Zak Brunt which you don't seem to do about other players. You may mention other players occasionally but you seem to mention Brunt more than the rest put together. As Dean said in his interview, ZB was not the only player...

Re: Aldershot (A) The Match Thread On Top Of Mount Rushmoor

Glad to see we have learned from high back line against teams that are getting down the sides, we have dropped slightly deeper which has helped with this, I hope we don't just sit back on the 1-0 lead which it seems we have since there red card, is Zak Brunt still on the pitch, as hardly seen him b...

Assisted the goal with a wonderful cross. Only negative for me is looking slightly too slow to play in the position he is.

Re: Attacking stats for Stead are insane

Can we hang on to Stead come the January transfer window? I wonder what he is worth now. More than EMC?? EMC was final year of his deal so we had to take a cut price deal. Probably also accepted cheaper (I think it was roughly 180k) in order to get a 25% sell on which we’ve benefited massively from...

Re: FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round

Happy to be corrected, but I believe that replays remain in place for the qualifying rounds, but not in the main competition. I'm not certain about the 4th qualifying round specifically, but the rounds so far have had their replays on the midweek immediately following the initial matches. Might be ...

Re: Braintree (Hive) The Cheer Up Seething Dean Match Thread

I think Zak Brunt deserves a lot of credit for the huge progress he’s made this season. Consistently one of the best players on the pitch, and far less prone to going missing than last year. Agreed, he’s been magnificent this season. Takes the game by the scruff of the neck every time he gets on th...

Re: Braintree (Hive) The Cheer Up Seething Dean Match Thread

When do we think we’ll have our first game of the season where the phrase “should have scored a few more” doesn’t apply? Another good performance though, solid all over the pitch and Hayes was very good when he needed to be. Hobson looks like another good option in midfield, and on another day Brow...
