From the interviews he’s given recently, I’d be fairly confident in keeping hold of him. If a southern based big club came in and tripled his salary we might struggle however.

Re: (Near) Rivals
Calm down everyone!! It’s too late for York to start showing some form now! It’s done! - we ARE going up! It’s just a matter of which match it occurs, and don’t get yourselves too wound up on all the permutations ! More the fact that it’ll be a bit depressing we find out we’re up on the telly (that...

Re: (Near) Rivals
Unless they drop points before the 5th looking like we’ll win it without playing as such. Wealdstone and fylde two winnable games, if they took 6 from that they’d be playing twice before we were playing again and only way they stay in it is to take maximum points (this is assuming we take maximum p...

Re: Altrincham (Away) The Match Thread Between Evans And Hell
I remember hearing years ago that the L2 contracts had a clause in them that players got a 20% pay reduction in the event of relegation ( can anybody confirm this? ) so it would only seem fair that a 20% pay increase was made in the event of promotion. That would be a club by club reduction. Standa...

Re: Winning the League?!
I think the penny has finally dropped for poor old Mr Hinshelwood that he’s missed what was a decent chance at a league title, and in spite of being heavily resourced, he has been tactically outdone, and most importantly outfought, by a better management team. He let his moronic 13 year old chairma...

Re: Tickets for Saturday
Tickets for our remaining away fixtures are also all available to buy via opponents Web site Sutton away tickets aren't available yet. I tried buying online on Thursday and the website wouldn't let me. I called the club on Friday morning and they said that away tickets will only go on sale two week...

Re: Winning the League?!
York's manager has said they have handed us the title rather than us take it off them. Which considering our form I think is a bit unfair as there's nothing they could have really done to stop us because we've hardly dropped a point for ages. If/when the title gets confirmed, it is all down to our ...

Re: Project 1000 (106.6%!) - Bring Barnet Back
What happens next with regards the application folks? Presumably the application is considered by the council’s planning committee. There is a planning committee meeting on 1 April but I should think this application will be referred to the Strategic Planning Committee Meeting due to be held on 23 ...

Re: Winning the League?!
I think we are hitting Altrincham and Gateshead at the right time. Alty's manager saying how tired they look and depleted, they play again tonight, whilst we have a full week of rest. Gateshead are not the same team they were at the start of the season, although they do seem to have our number. Onl...

Re: Woking (Away) The Double or Nothing Match Thread
That was the coldest I’ve ever been. Diabolical levels of freezing in that stand. Yes it was cold but it was really vicious when we played there on Saturday 27th November 2021. The second coldest football match I’ve ever attended. I was impressed by our turnout of 794. When was the last time we had...

Re: Woking (Away) The Double or Nothing Match Thread
I think Collinge could also do a job as an emergency centre midfielder. Great to have a player as strong as Oluwu to come in or Grimwood Alternative is to go with 4 at the back Still leaves us with taking Tavares out of defence. Clifford is more a Hartigan than a Shelton replacement. If Hartigan’s ...

Re: Woking Seats
Normally at away matches we all sit wherever we want to and the singers gather together towards the back of the stand. That's fine when there are plenty of seats to chose from. However the Woking stand is sold out so we will all have to sit in our allocated seats at Woking ( as we did at Tamworth )...
