Re: Back to Barnet September update

My rough guess based on the pics. Small stands 8-10 rows 800-1000 each end 1500-2000 side Main stand 16-20 rows plus hospitality above . 2500-3500. So somewhere between 5,600 and 7,500. Be very surprised if it comes in under 6,000. I'm not sure this rule applies anymore, but there was a time when t...

Re: Bring Barnet Back - campaign thread

I like how they've added the greenery around the back of the stands so it blends in better with the surroundings. It's definitely missing some amber and 'Barnetifcation' but I guess they don't want the ground to stand out too much at this stage of planning. No doubt it'll be there as and when it's ...

Re: FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round

No complaints with that draw - it might not be very exciting, but really we just want the easiest opponents (on paper, at least) at home all the way until the 3rd round.

Re: Fylde £5 ticket offer

The promotion seemed to be a success. It was a busy stand. Now to follow up with more promotions and capitalise on this. I wouldn't care if they charged a fiver/tenner for the rest of the season. It is nice to see so many faces. I know season ticket holders have paid more, but that is a sunk cost t...

Re: AFC Fylde (Hive) The Hive for a Fiver? Frack Yes! Match Thread

Not a vintage performance but enough quality in the end to get a deserved win. We dominated possession but weren’t great with the ball, especially in the first half - although Fylde deserve some credit for stopping us playing. We still could easily have won 4-0 if Stead had his shooting boots on. A...

Re: Fylde £5 ticket offer

Am I right in thinking that the club have only relied on existing fans to drum up support for the offer or have they used social media etc to spread the word? Second point: I'm always surprised at the number of people queuing at the ticket office before games. Do they not know they can buy on line ...

Re: Fylde £5 ticket offer

Can't see anything about an expiry time, just that it is an online offer only. Could be wrong! Why wait though?! We like sitting in the main Hive stand but you can’t seem to book them online like you used to be able to. Therefore I was hoping to buy them on the day at the ticket office but now unde...

Re: Wealdstope (Away) The Match Even the Met Line Won't Go To

Might be because of our league positioning and focus, whilst they're in the relegation mix. It's a bit of a lopsided derby generally anyway, one that's sprung up in the last decade. Will it last forever? who knows but it's certainly a more interesting fixture than let's say against Fylde and local-...

Re: FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round

Happy to be corrected, but I believe that replays remain in place for the qualifying rounds, but not in the main competition.

I'm not certain about the 4th qualifying round specifically, but the rounds so far have had their replays on the midweek immediately following the initial matches.

Re: Fylde £5 ticket offer

Here is an idea - let’s fill out the safe standing area for the fylde game. I’ve spoken to those I know in the AB. Why doesn’t everyone who isn’t tied by season tickets try and get over that side and bring some noise and positivity from that side. Even with a west stand season ticket, you can trans...

Re: DB interview

Personally I found this quite enjoyable, particularly the slightly psychopathic Martin Allen-esque vibe to the whole thing. Even the reference to coming in for a cup of tea is straight out of the MA playbook! I've got no real issue with DB calling out the moaning at The Hive, it's incredibly tiresom...

No Kanu or Hall-Johnson in the squad though - it's like wack-a-mole on the injury front!

(Assuming their absences are injury related, of course.)

Re: Gateshead (Away) The Heed of The Table Match Thread

Saturday was obviously very disappointing, but we have a good run of fixtures (on paper) leading up to the FA Cup 4th qualifying round weekend: Altrincham (H) Braintree (H) Wealdstone (A) Aldershot (A) Fylde (H) Boston United (H) You would hope for a solid points total from those matches, which will...
