Re: Dean Brennan Statement
I hoped this would be the outcome, but fair play to TK for letting DB have opportunity to manage at higher level. Let's hope it'll be with us next season!! That said - other clubs will be alerted to the fact that TK is open to offers. When do footballers contracts run to? Sounds like we may have so...

Re: DB to Swindon?
Don't think it can be understated the notts county situation, somehow Dean's former friend now arch enemy bagged that job which must irk him still..... so whether it's Swindon or another league job the timing might be perfect in his personal and professional life plus to have a full transfer window...

Re: DB to Swindon?
Mel Gwinnett was sacked by Hampton & Richmond after an alarming collapse saw them drop from 2nd to a finish outside the play-offs. A stand-out candidate in respect of results and profile would be local boy Matt Gray. Sutton’s style of football under him was the polar opposite of our style under...

Re: Transfers 2024/25
Sir John Akinde let go by Colchester. Not surprising given his age but not for one second do I think we should try and re-sign him. He will always be one of Barnet FC's greatest ever strikers and the ice-cool penalty taker of all time. You could stake your house on him to score from 12 yards. I hop...

Re: Positives from the season?
I think we are now a trusted club for EFL/EPL clubs to send players to and help develop short term benefitting us (& them) , GOD from Oxford and Keeley from Spurs being the examples, don't think this was necessarily the case previously so as and when we are in need of a quality loan signing I th...

Re: Transfers 2024/25
Matt Stevens released by Forest Green, had his injuries but is it time to bring him home? Always seemed like a very good guy when he broke through and MA gave him his chance here, has gone on and had a decent league career and judging from the social media responses he seems very well thought of at...

Re: Kidderminster Harriers (THTS) The Hawkward Goodbye Match Thread
Hope to see us go full noise at them for 60 mins get a couple of goals up, maybe more a la Dorking, then bring the 3 players off who need the rest most ready for next week. Finish the regular season strong instead of a whimper like daggers game last season. I agree with your point but Kiddy are far...

Re: (Near) Rivals
Think this is where TK has been great, he recognised DB will get looked at for certain jobs and tied him down, as well as Connor Smith, into a long deal hopefully with a nice compensation package to warn off possible suitors, no doubt DB's stock is high and will be linked with alot of league jobs es...

Re: Oxford City (THTS) The Match Thread Trolling Away The Stones
As for the game it was never going to be Dorking mark 2, for me freeman is not suited to being in a midfield 3, cropper struggled to make an impact early on but grew into the game, brunts introduction and the switch to 3 at the back made the game safe. We're nearly there though typically maidenhead ...

Re: Oxford City (THTS) The Match Thread Trolling Away The Stones
The ref seemed to lose control late in the first half, Oxford were adamant there was a push in the build up to our first goal, I'd need to see it again but their players and bench went mad, then there was a foul that wasn't given in added time which again incensed Oxford and led to more bookings. Se...

Re: Dementia friendly walking football
The WFT are absolute heroes!!! to do something like this, that is probably the highlight of someone's week or month having them attend to help and put on classes, as well as everything else they do in the community is fantastic a real credit to the club I hope they are held in the highest regard int...

Re: Hartlepool (TBC) The Match Thread Taking a Dip In The Pool
The extra extra time seemed extreme to me because I was desperate for the final whistle!! It's a shame we can't be like rugby. They have to have a visible clock, which is stopped for every stoppage. So once 40 / 80 minutes are shown, as soon as the ball is kicked out of play, the half finishes. But...
