Re: Chesterfield ticket sales
I think that's an improvement on their first game in charge of the catering - conversation went along the following lines: Me 'I'll have a coffee and a coke please'. caterer 'There is no coke, it's frozen'. Me 'Why is it in the fridge then - if you'd taken them out of the fridge a couple of hours ag...

Re: Chairman's statement
Re point 3, minimal with the council. They weren't consulted on the Club's Press Release. I think Barnet Labour are supportive of the club moving back, but it has to be a feasible location and South Underhill may not be it I'm afraid.

Re: Oldham (Hive) The Latic Acid Test Match Thread
I think there are quite a few players who are letting themselves down or not as good as we thought- or maybe just a team bereft of confidence, or maybe a formation that isn’t working and needs changing and maybe our blip. Likely a mix of all of them, so quite a lot to do. Defensively a shambles, mid...

Re: Dorking (Away) The Dorking Pictures TV Match Thread
What a come back!! Well done boys (Bhoys with Hooper on the bench) Take the point re slow starts, but this team has cajones. The key point is that it can fight back. Pleased to see Sam back. I've always been a fan, and think he deserves to be part of the squad.

Re: Gary Hooper signs for Barnet
From my memories of him at Norwich - he was a lovely player, adaptable as a Fox in the box aka Marriot, good at running on the ball or play deeper, just outside/inside the 30 yard box. And yes, he could handle himself. Not quite in the Grant Holt (the defenders were more scared of him than the other...

And Norwich (well both in my case) and yes, good is an understatement. He was excellent at Norwich, and it's great that we have him.

Re: AFC Fylde (Hive) The Frack and Fylde Event Match Thread
Couldn't get there last night but my son's best mate was and apparently we were peppering their goal and dominating possession for 70+ minutes out of the 97 played, so probably a fair result all in, though I do feel for Fylde, gutting way to end a match they thought they were going to draw/win. This...

Re: Gary Hooper signs for Barnet
He was a good player at Norwich. I think this isn’t a bad signing. He brings higher league experience and knowledge of the game that may come in useful.

Re: Kidderminster Harriers (Away) The Bird Strike Match Thread
I enjoyed the game - was seating but tried to get into the standing bit at half time but wasn't allowed out!? Good Barnet support, so well done all. Kidderminster's ground had a feeling of being modern about twenty years ago - broadly when they were in the league, and not much done in it since then,...

Re: Kidderminster Harriers (Away) The Bird Strike Match Thread
Yep, the strikes are a pain, doing this one by car, and it seems a relatively straight forward journey. looking forward to it, not least because the form suggests a win, so here's hoping. Be good to see Kabamba and Stead playing in a 5 3 2, if that's the plan.

Re: York (Away) The York Supposed To Bee At Home Match Thread
Really good win, nice goals, should have been five. Their first goal was well worked, but we need to reflect on their second goal, really soft. Well done to the 163 who went up.

Re: Halifax (h) The Hive Got a Bank Space Match Thread
They looked a pretty decent side to me. They will probably be there or thereabouts, possibly in the playoffs. Both keepers had busy afternoons, but both had really good games, Armstrong's chance was gold plated, but missed opportunity, hence the 0-0. We need to be more ruthless in front of goal - to...

Re: Altrincham (Hive) The Alt in Our Stars Match Thread
Never good for any player to suffer an injury like that - ditto the sentiment about a full recovery.
