Re: Kanu off?
I think its unrealistic to expect either Kanu or Collinge, (or anyone else who's contracts expire in the Summer), to signa. New contract now. Let them finish the season and if we get promoted then they get a new contract with us in League 2. If we don't get promoted then the get ro leave as free age...

Re: Forest Green Rovers (Away) The Frozen Veg Match Thread
Think cardwell would score an absolute hatful for us. He pressed us so well last night. I think Becbee makes a good point. There are no guarantees when it comes to finding someone who can put the ball in the net. Sometimes it doesn't make sense but it just works. I think that as we became a much mo...

I think that as we became a much more dominant side and drifted away with the style that DB initially used, (with Gorman co...

Re: Sarfend (Away) The Match Thread Looking For A Shellfish Finisher
I think the big question for this game is whether Sarfend are worse at conceding from set-pieces than we are at scoring from them.
The can't defend them and we score them so it's very much a case of the movable object versus the stoppable force.
OG in their net for 1st goal-scorer?

Re: Forest Green Rovers (Away) The Frozen Veg Match Thread
Nice day out in the Cotsworld followed by a gutsy and title challenging performance (even if some people seem to be disappointed with it for some reason). We showed we are more than capable of challenging the best teams in the league yesterday and against Oldham at home. Unfortunately, our lack of ...

Re: Transfers 2024/25
Daniel Ogunleye has scored 25+ goals for Brentwood, (alongside George Sykes), in the Isthmian League North Division, (which is Tier 8). https://x.com/SportsPeteO/status/1879844203158716635 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQGWeUwvUdo There is an enormous jump from Isthmian North to the very top end o...

Re: Forest Green Rovers (Away) The Frozen Veg Match Thread
An utterly pointless thought in the grand scheme of things, but couldn’t the club have come to an agreement with Bromley that Nicke leaves after the Forest green game? It’s not like he was eligible for the Newcastle game anyway and obviously was much needed for this title race 6 pointer. Frustratin...

Are they playing a step higher this season?rudebwoyben wrote: ↑15 Jan 2025, 09:02 What’s going on with Hendon? They’re suffering a massive downturn this season.
I know Lee Allinson has moved to Hemel recently, but not 100% sure they were promoted last season.

Re: Forest Green Rovers (Away) The Frozen Veg Match Thread
Not keen on Evan’s imo looks a lot more shakey than Keeley ever was and he’s a seasoned pro Disagree completely Think his distribution is fantastic Completely agree. I think he went long more often than I expected, (and too long for DB too), and too long quite often too, but even then he stuck one ...

Re: Forest Green Rovers (Away) The Frozen Veg Match Thread
Forest Green offered absolutely nothing apart from a few long throws and corners. I will be amazed if they are anywhere near us and York by the end of the season. We simply HAVE to start taking our chances, or we are going to let York get away from us. They had a 15 min spell in the middle of the 2...

Re: Forest Green Rovers (Away) The Frozen Veg Match Thread
I thought it was a really really good performance that was worthy of 3 points. we should have scored in the 1st half. we should have been awarded a pen in the 2nd half. we shouldn't respect the point. It's 2 points dropped rather than 1 point gained. draws are no good. we need back to back to back w...

Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
I love this thread. Where else can you post that Dylan Pauw was last seen playing for Punjab Utd (Gravesend) in November of last year, and have some hope of there even being the slightest bit if interest from someone? Who else cares that Daniel Oyegoke has been playing regularly for Hearts this sea...
