Re: A bit of perspective needed
In the TV coverage of our final day win against Gateshead, Paul Fairclough was asked to comment on Tranmere falling through the L2 trapdoor. His response was: Football has no respect for reputations. How right he was. The seasons seem to fly by, and a lot of those previous campaigns and players are ...

Re: Big Bondz N'Gala's Appreciation Society
To be fair, Jon Fortune had no problem reading situations, it's just that his legs were still catching up from the previous attack.
And if we're on the topic of players who we're so slow they went backwards, I raise the stakes and give you Ross D'Arcy

Re: Marvin Armstrong
Marvin seems like a rough diamond. Great engine, athletic, but he always looked a bit uneasy on the ball when turning defence into attack. Fingers crossed we've done the right thing and looking to better what we have. Hope Marvin does well for himself. Good, honest hard working player.

Re: Woking (Away) The Mansfield Town Match Thread
Useful with his back to goal linking play, so long as the ball is played straight to him. But he's never going to run in behind and trouble us for pace. Has been on loan at Braintree in NLS and hasn't uprooted any trees there. Hope he starts!

Re: Eastleigh FC (THTS) The Return Flight to Sunderland Thread
We are in a great position, and our run-in isn't too bad.
The key thing for me is momentum going into the playoffs, not stumbling into them.
If we can get close to a first choice XI in the next week, we're set nicely.

Re: Eastleigh FC (THTS) The Return Flight to Sunderland Thread
Some other playoff contenders still in action tonight. 30mins in, Aldershot, Solihull and Gateshead all drawing. Altrincham winning 2-0 Anyone dropping points helps keep 4th place at arms length. EDIT Shots now 3-1 up, Solihull still 0-0. 5 point gap between us and 4th as things stand, and we have a...

Re: Bromley (Away) The Heads, Shoulders, Bees and Foes Match Thread
Aldershot, Maidenhead, Halifax Town, Oxford City, Eastleigh, Solihull and Dorking are the clubs in our division who haven’t. Not sure if there’s any in the EFL. Have Burton Albion? Edit: Not sure Southend Utd have either! Southend Utd - 2014–15 Football League Two Final Halifax - 2015–16 FA Trophy ...

Re: Bromley (Away) The Heads, Shoulders, Bees and Foes Match Thread
Hopefully we make it 11 games
We know what's in front of us now.
As disappointing as today is, there's so much to look forward to in the coming weeks.
Let's get everyone fit and get over the line.

Still only 1-0
Next goal is so important
Regards selection, maybe there was no choice.
DB takes this competition seriously, so to change philosophy in a QF would be bizarre.
