Re: Bring Barnet Back - campaign thread

Quietly optimistic, but there may be hurdles to jump. It feels like we're approaching it the right way by engaging up front with all the right people. In years gone by, it came across like the club was saying here's our design, but it was us vs the rest of the world. This time we've learned we have ...

Re: Boston United (Hive) The Boston Bee Party Match Thread

Indded, the 1-1 draw at York Street was live on Sky Sports. We took the lead through Danny Brown's bicycle kick, but they levelled late on.

Greg Heald got MOTM as he nurtured a young Ismail Yakubu through the game next to him.

Re: Fylde £5 ticket offer

In my opinion, there's a window of opportunity in getting youngsters hooked on coming to clubs like Barnet. They need to be old enough to understand the game (or simply tag along with an adult who needs them there to simply attend themselves). Then you get the teenage barrier, where suddenly the pee...

Re: Next Manager? Life after DB.

A good business will always have a succession plan, but i hope we don't have to deploy it for a while yet. DB fits the bill for so many reasons. He's a good all round manager in an era where clubs try to be a bit clever having a large backroom team separating recruitment from the art of coaching. DB...

Shame if he has hung up his boots.
Definitely still a good player there, probably just needed a proper pre-season, even if it wasn't to be with us.

Re: Hive Stand

Was the QR code issue only on the Bee Army Stand area?
My tickets were in Google Wallet and worked ok at Legends turnstiles.

Also has to be said, great bit of defending by Oluwo when their player was virtually in one one one in the 2nd half. Thankfully the A1 re-opened at around 1pm, just in time for us to sail down the motorway from Stotfold! Both girls enjoyed the afternoon. Eldest one is now 15 and actually watched th...

FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round

3rd qualifying round took place today.
4th qualifying round draw is this Monday at 3pm.
Boringwood scraped through 2-1 but wouldn't fancy playing them again. Seen enough of them in recent years.
Bishops Stortford are still in there. What about a trip to Gorleson?

Anyone travelling South on the A1 today, Hatfield Tunnel is currently shut whilst they try to fix an electrical fault. Allow extra time and be prepared to find another route.

Weather has been diabolical this week, but due to dry out this afternoon. Saturday's forecast looking decent. Might encourage a few more to take the plunge online later on.

Re: AFC Fylde (Hive) The Hive for a Fiver? Frack Yes! Match Thread

Even with the same ticket revenue, more people in the stadium means more refreshments sold, a full car park at £8 a pop, and a better atmosphere. The aim is to showcase the club on and off the field to non-regulars and build the fanbase. How we entice them back for a repeat visit is a different deba...
