Re: Bring Barnet Back - campaign thread
I suspect the strategy is to go for a low-impact, soft design that blends in well with its surroundings and won't alarm locals. If that's what it takes to get spades into the ground, I'll take it. No room for marmite designs and backlash. I'm not quite sure what people would be expecting either way ...

Re: Exeter (Away) The Our Stand's Too Big For Us Match Thread
Anyone else think it is bizarre that we are scoring freely but all the talk seems to be about needing another striker rather than getting our defensive approach sorted out. Seems to me that we need a good defensive coach far more than another centre forward. Great point Derek and was thinking the s...

Re: Digital advertising boards ??
On the one hand, digital advertising boards do make the place look more 'professional'. Or tacky ! Potentially! Depends on the advertising visuals I guess. It's all subjective. Would be cool to see a 'Get your home kit today' ad with an image of the shirt and the CTA being 'visit club shop now'.

Re: Digital advertising boards ??
On the one hand, digital advertising boards do make the place look more 'professional'. Look at the Barnet Brentford FA Cup game highlights, it adds something to the occasion. The club can also increase revenue with tangible positive affects for squad. The boards could also showcasing ticket offers,...

Fantastic record and to be amongst the big boys of Europe should make us very proud. The Hive is a fortress!

Re: York (Away) The Match Thread Marching to the Top of Underhill
A big reality check and maybe our league position now better reflects our quality. Over the two games we took the lead twice and then collaped, which is a concern but I have faith we can fix the problem. I’m still not totally convinced about Hayes even if he may fit DB’s system better skills-wise. H...

Re: London Bees
Arsenal are definitely ahead of the game and it'll be interesting to see how crowds are affected once prices start rising (as they're unsustainable cheap to lure in new fans). Would there be 30,000 - 50,000 in attendance if they are priced the same or close enough as the men's game? Part of the curr...

Re: Barnet FC You Tube / Video Thread
Would be interesting to see some stats on how much of the game is now played on the ground as opposed to the air over the last 2 decades. Playing it out of the back under severe pressure was completely unheard of growing up. I think if you transported a footy fan from 04 to 24, they'd be pleasantly ...

Re: Barnet FC You Tube / Video Thread
I think the quality of non-league (and football is general) is on a completely different level to that I watched as a kid 20 years ago. The tennis heading, scrappiness and hoofs are minimal and there is way more sophistication to the play as well as general fitness involved. It's been an absolute pl...

Re: Chelmsford (Hive) The Only Way Is Essex...Again
There are many many Arsenal and Spurs fans in Barnet (and add Herts to that) who took a passing interest in the bees before the move (E.g. came to a few games here and there) and still keep an eye out on results but won't trek to the The Hive. The distance is a blocker for a casual. With Arsenal and...

Re: London Bees
Letchbee94 does have a point here. The badge is truly awful, like something from the 90s clipart with some famous London landmarks, and the name should be simply Barnet Ladies/Women FC. A graphic designer friend of mine said it was one of worst things he's seen professionally. I get why TK would ha...
