Re: WHO WOULD LIKE TO TAKE OVER?
Claridge is playing for Gosport Borough (and scoring) in between his media work. Personally I'd want anyone to take us out of this mess and encourage irregular fans like me to come back more often (which I was intending to do this season until the results declined after week 2)

Re: Now Barnet FC are really taking the Michael out of us
Playing under lights clearly worked against Southend - hate to think what the score would have been on a Saturday.... 3-6 maybe??

Re: Top 91 Players of All Time - 40-31
John Fairbrother spearheaded the team of ageing ex-pros assembled in the Southern Lge Div 1 South season of 75-76 (?) after we'd switched from the dark days of Div 1 North and notched around 36 goals in the season. We won the league easily - also in that team were Wilf Woodend , Marvin Hinton, Walte...

Re: Leaving Underhill?
Haven't read all the above but the least we should do is object to the Saracens proposal and I say that as a Barnet & Saracens supporter (I guess I'm not alone in that). Apologies if that has already been said.

Re: Peter Reid gone
When we were in a similar position in 1993 in the days of Stan - we were forced to release our players and start the season with whatever was left from other clubs preseasons eg Brian Marwood, Tim Alexander, Alan Walker, Mark Newsom etc - why do the same rules not apply to Plymouth?? as they must be...

Re: Deadline Day!
Heard LS on 5Live last evening re deadline day and he was of the view that squads should be assembled pre season not at this point and that for many managers it is a distraction. In case we didn't already know he said that Barnet are a selling club not buying and can use the loan market so the day i...

Re: Here we go again - Morecambe Match Thread
Some of Brill's punching I thought was dodgy. Defence coped ok with a poor Morecambe attack force apart from their no7 who for them was official MOM even though Parkes mainly kept him quiet. We could/should have been 2-0 bar a couple of misses from McLeod and Marshall before we scored. As someone wh...

Qatar
Does anyone else remember Qatar visiting Underhill for a friendly in the late 70s ? With a small crowd we won 4-0 from memory - and now they are hosting the World Cup somehow. I think they played Brentford as well and someone else on a short tour.

Re: Plymouth's struggles continue...
They came down hard on us in 93 because Stan Flashman had got up their noses when we were promoted into the league saying they wouldn't know what had hit them. Plymouth being a reasonably long established league club, the rules will be different......cynicism or paranoia, call it what you like but w...
