Re: Sign Deering up!

Deering hasn't been playing as a winger for us. He's been playing as part of a midfield 3 where his eye for a pass and work rate has been really noticeable

Re: Gillingham vs Barnet Match Thread

In my opinion Byrne was MOM. He was everwhere breaking up play in midfield, running with it and relieving pressure on our defence. I can see now why Rushden voted him player of the season My Ratings Walker 6 Felt he could have done better with the first goal Stirling 7 nothing got past him and he sh...

Re: Bury vs Barnet Match Thread

FFS 1-0 down. I don't understand why Parsons keeps playing I honest think he is useless, I've said it at every game he's played so far. He's a million times better than Parkes who's clearly been getting targetted by opposition. Loads of goals conceded this season have come from the left back position

Re: Bury vs Barnet Match Thread

The midfield has a very "solid" look to it. In Graz's interview he commented that their central midfielder was very influential so maybe he wanted to crowd him out.

Re: The Run-in - BBC Predictor

Looking at the remaining fixtures for Burton and Northampton, I think a win and a couple of draws could be enough to keep us up.

Re: "I've got to look after my family and I've got bills to

Allen is a clever man. His whole "I've got bills to pay" sob story is definitely designed to try and make him not look like a tosser to the wider football community. Also the way he played Barnet. In my opinion he's looked to get out of here as quick as possible. Notts Cty said that they k...

My worry...

is that having seen some of the Barnet players at close hand that come the summer Allen will take McLeod, Deering and Devera off us. IMO the current XI (plus Jake Cole and Dennehy) makes a strong team for next season. Getting Deering on a contract for next season should be TK's priority. I hope that...

Clist as a left back would be brilliant. Not so sure as a central midfielder

Re: Puncheon to Blackpool??

He's also proved Fairclough right who said he was good enough to play in the Premiership. I'm chuffed. Even though we were struggling when he was here, he was the reason I came every week just to see the class goals he scored.

He will do well at Blackpool with their attacking style

Re: Greatest XI

Why is Simon Clist getting so many mentions for LB? I agree he was a solid performer in a successful team, but we must have had better LBs? Alex Dyer was pretty good. Or Kenny Gillet perhaps. Matt Lockwood I really rated in his first loan spell with us, not so much the second...I guess loan signing...

Re: Greatest XI

Subs Paul Showler  He'd be the first name on my team sheet. How about a thread for each position with nominations and discussion, not all at once though. I'd do it but I will inevitably forget at some point so probably best someone else do it. You have a point. I was thinking Showler v Punch...

Wow! He's done well. There's some very good players coming through the youth ranks in Portugal at the moment.
