Tim Flowers has been sacked
Re: Tim Flowers has been sacked
A friend of mine who supports Posh has just texted saying he has heard Aaron Mclean in is the running - probably explains his presence as a pundit on our 2 BT games!

Bring back Graham Westley, he's a winner, and at least we'll get great pleasure from blaming him each week for yet another defeat.
All seriousness,I do not know who in their right mind would want the job. We have a bloated squad of useless players and probably little to no budget for any half decent players. I doubt whoever comes in will still be here at the start of next season.

We’re not getting relegated and in the event we can be, no one is saving us with this squad.
Pick the names out a hat, make them get on with it and let whoever is going to be our next manager think about how on Earth next season isn’t going to be this shite. Why ruin a new manager with this lost cause when they can find knew and exciting ways to destroy their career next season.

Let's face it, its a guaranteed way of earning maybe a years salary in 3 months.
I'd do it.
Lose 10 games on the spin and walk off with a package.
They'll be queuing round the stadium for an interview!

Re: Tim Flowers has been sacked
I'd work on the basis that we are going to make a permanent appointment end of May after headhunting and advertising and some deep strategic thinking ( I know a bit naive of me ). Happy to help!
Meanwhile I'd appoint A N Other on the basis that the contract is until the end of the season with the advantage of insider knowledge and hopefully some success and the promise of a short-listing - but nothing else.

Paul Fairclough to steady things until end of season?
I fear many of the squad will be on 2 year contracts.
I would like to see a winning and successful team and not hung up on style.

Barnet is just such an unappealing job to every available manager out there, a total graveyard of footballing management.
May as well offer it to the bloke standing at the bus stop.

Unless it's Currie, whoever we bring in has to be on a short deal. They need to show that they can get something out of these players before making any more signings and committing to next season.
20 games left. Get 4 candidates in. Each gets 5 games to show what they can do. At the end of the season, TK points his finger and says "You're hired". Film it and put it on TV. Next season's budget taken care of.

all players not up to the job should be given 4 weeks notice and terminate their contracts . How much money has this cost, TK would have been better giving DC what he wanted, keeping him on may have kept some of last seasons players from leaving and for DC to build on last seasons team instead of what we have now in going backwards and having to build a new team from scratch every season. Must certainly have been cheaper to have kept DC

The moment he said "If anyone player doesn't want to play - they can do one" cannot have helped win over the players
