Peterborough (Hive) The Posh Twice Match Thread
Re: Peterborough (Hive) The Posh Twice Match Thread
If Kewell intends to play a back 3 we need another centre back or two.

Thanks. Pretty sure that’s not Gyollai in goal in the first game (and had it been, I’d have expected some of the Peterborough contingent would’ve commented on him playing against his own club).

Seems he was popular at Stevenage, despite playing only a handful of games.

I thought the first game was encouraging, The keeper made some decent saves and Marriott looks good, clever goal from him.

I was quite impressed by the white 'Foden' haired player in the second game, as well as the tricky winger, number 15?
Thought all three of the trialists in the first game were useful as well.
Some signs of promise against a team which holds quality we won't be up against many times this season at all.

I agree with you - both are worth another game. L
I also thought #22 the striker never missed a header all game - even though chances were limited .

Wow surprised at that. Somebody mentioned that Peterborough brought quite a good portion of that figue, so assume around the 100 or so Barnet supporters.Reckless wrote:Yep 333. Ta.

Part of this low figure will be apathy after last season. The other influence will be people not wanting to be in a crowd.

333 in The Hive is hardly a crowd.talldarkslim wrote:Part of this low figure will be apathy after last season. The other influence will be people not wanting to be in a crowd.
I personally didn't go because I was otherwise occupied but quite honestly, the idea of 75 minutes x 2 matches didn't appeal. 90 minutes of an early PSF can get dull as it is when there's nothing at stake and players are easing their way back - let alone 150 minutes. Maybe others thought like me?

I wonder if some season ticket holders were put off (in the absence of a renewal opportunity) by having to pay £15 per ticket for a match that would, in previous seasons, been free and included in the season ticket renewal?
