Christmas Toy Campaign for disadvantaged children in Barnet
Barnet fans and The Hive Trust have been very supportive over the last few years supporting this, it's back again for the 4 year. If you can give time, gifts or money to support the children and young people across the borough of Barnet all support is really gratefully received.
Not only donations of gifts but also opportunity to meet with friends and help wrap the gifts. Also looking to talk to any local businesses that might like to partner up or offer an alternative to secret santa.
Ways to help and get involved;
* Donate money - Young Barnet Foundation can then buy gifts via wholesalers at up to 80% off the retail price making funds go further
* Buy a gift via an amazon shopping list
* Drop off gifts at the Old East Barnet Library, EN4 8SG.
* Donate time to wrap the gifts.
* Promote the campaign across your friends/family/networks (even just a retweet of the twitter post can make a difference)
All details are at http://www.youngbarnetfoundation.org.uk ... ascampaign
Thank you to a couple of Bees fans who have already been very generous.

Re: Christmas Toy Campaign for disadvantaged children in Bar
Further to my earlier posts, I wanted to add a further thanks to the generosity of Barnet fans.
I have seen a number of recognisable names in the gifts received via the Amazon list and I also seen similar in the names of those who donated money. They money has been put to good use and we are awaiting 4 pallets of assorted toys from a supplier giving us huge discount to RRP so your donations really will go a long way to helping the local disadvantaged young people get a great gift this Christmas.
If anyone is a fan of wrapping we do still have slots available to pop along for a couple of hours to wrap.
Below is a picture of the current pile of c500 gifts and I'll follow up with further pics to show your donations going to good use.
Thanks again.
