Sesay departs
Re: Sesay departs
Sesay not in Wealdstone's squad today.
Re: Sesay departs
Surely not! I really rate him & think he deserves more game time (not that we’re complaining at the moment though!)jerroll wrote:Kewell signings slowly being moved on, worry about Blomfield being next!
Re: Sesay departs
i agree wholeheartedly, not sure our boss dies though. suspect Josh Payne was also a Kewell signing so he might be next.PBBee wrote:Surely not! Re: Sesay departs
Sessay has not been in Wealdstone squad since his signing. He was not in there squad in there 3-2 loss to Bromley. So assume he is still injured from his international duty.

Re: Sesay departs
Sounds like we did right thing by not wanting him. Sounds another sicknote?

Agreed. Seems like wasted potential.letchbee94 wrote:Sounds like we did right thing by not wanting him. Sounds another sicknote?
Re: Sesay departs
Since he signed for Wealdstone on 26th November Sesay has not featured in any of their subsequent matches.
He is in the Sierra Leone squad for their three upcoming matches so the very earliest he could play for Wealdstone is 22nd January.
That's eight weeks wages Wealdstone will have forked out for no return.
I liked Sesay as a player, but I'm quite pleased he is now off our payroll.

Maybe I am being cynical but it will be interesting to see whether he again plays in all three S.L. matches then returns to U.K. "injured".hoppy wrote:Since he signed for Wealdstone on 26th November Sesay has not featured in any of their subsequent matches.

Being cynically cynical, maybe when he comes back injured the Sierra Leone FA will pay Wealdstone his wages.....Did they do it for us, I wonder?

The whole amount or maybe a percentage say 85%!ETBee wrote:Being cynically cynical, maybe when he comes back injured the Sierra Leone FA will pay Wealdstone his wages.....Did they do it for us, I wonder?
Re: Sesay departs
I just believe it! David Sesay on BBC London news about his call up for Sierra Leone. They talked about him being a Wealstone player but he's not put a foot on the pitch for them yet.

You beat me to it!ETBee wrote:I just believe it! David Sesay on BBC London news about his call up for Sierra Leone. They talked about him being a Wealstone player but he's not put a foot on the pitch for them yet.
Clearly short of local news.
Re: Sesay departs
Having watched this 'news' item live it made me laugh. The intro made it sound like some local lad playing Sunday football for 'Youth FC' had been dragged from complete football obscurity to play for a national side in a major tournament. In the interview, like some actor David Sesay played the part of a wide eyed amateur footballer who rarely gets off the subs bench let alone gets to play football with real players.becbee wrote:You beat me to it!ETBee wrote:I just believe it!
