MA says no offers for Akinde, he had a tight hamstring all week but told MA at 1pm it didn't feel right, MA says he won't risk bih John. Also Gash had hamstring problems during the week & Batt was not supposed to play the whole match.

The new signings looked ok but with the game going the way it did will need to see more. Sesay and Randall looked keen to play it on the floor and Hackett showed some nice touches. Shame the good chances fell to batt today we needed another option eg Stevens to come on and freshen it up as we were hanging on at the end. A game I never thought would end nil nil did and tbh it's a good point in the circumstances for us. Bring on Stevenage.

Shame Mclean left, at least he could compete at this level.

Yes he was playing for the U18s

Think it's a fair assessment from letsbee.

Randall was jogging about. I'm hoping that was down to a lack of fitness. Seemed to want to pass it and showed for it but did nothing to win it back. Sesay looked good on the ball but got easily beaten by the opposition winger and Hoyte swapped with him in defence. Hackett showed some really good touches and popped up on the opposite wing a few times to cleverly support Gambin. He will prove a decent signing.

Batt... Well, you have to be there to miss them, right? (McClean, despite being a great striker of the ball, rarely seemed to be.) Gash was worryingly out of sorts. Weston had a decent game by his standards and only did 3 of his signature no-look hook ons. After the double sub we disappeared from a game that we should've won.

More nonsense from MA in the post match interview.

He says that Gash was unfit, Akinde had hamstring trouble all week and that Batt was only fit for a 60-70 minute shift, yet despite that two of them started and Matt Stevens wasn't even the squad despite MA specifically saying earlier this week that he wanted to bring Stevens through.

He then claims that Batt missed a sitter because he was "tired". When he missed that chance we hadn't used any subs. Three subs later and "tired" Batt was still on the pitch.

He also claimed earlier in the week that we have to bring the youngsters through now (a claim he's made several times this season), yet not one of them was involved today.

He also claims we were "unlucky" not to win today. No, Martin, we failed to win today because we played a 30% fit striker and a headless chicken up front, and because you brought on two defensive players for two attacking players on 60 minutes.

Seriously, the number of lies and contradictions, along with wilful incompetence, from MA is getting absurd now. Despite the litany of errors he's made this season we're still not that far off the playoffs - if we had a manager with basic tactical competence things could be so much better.

Somebody remind me why we gave out nine pro deals to youngsters last year now?

I think MA can't bring himself to admit that Batt is next to useless and he's naively hoping that by playing him he might miraculously recoup some losses???

For two games in a row our keeper has failed to keep his kicks in play. It's gifted possession and control

Rather he kicks it out of play than right down the middle of the pitch meaning we under the cosh straight away!

At least you have a chance of winning the ball of its in the middle of the pitch. This was just gifting them the ball

Thought it was a poor game between two sides that would still have not scored had the game been going on until now. Gambin showed some invention, but apart from him the ball spent most of the time in the air save a couple of breakaways in the second half. Carlisle showed more desire to play on the deck without any cutting edge themselves.

I truly hope that Akinde has only a minor knock and will be back shortly as this gave us an insight into life after him and it was not pretty.

We didn't win any of them today. At least five come straight back and one of them conceeding a free kick just out wide. If it does go out for a throw in at least gives you a few seconds to set up again.

Are you claiming the keeper kicked them out on purpose? We didn't win any second half because their weren't any
I think he has a muscle problem that affects his kicking as the game goes on

For two games in a row and after returning for a groin injury our keeper has kept two clean sheets.
