I agree that the current management team at Lincoln come across as decent and impressive human beings and it's good that the team has moved on. But I look at the older Lincoln fans celebrating at Burnley and wonder what any of them would have to say or what they feel about that night in 1987. The absence over the years of any kind of acknowledgement, let alone an apology from Lincoln for what went on that night, spoke volumes about the club as an institution.

Spot on. In later seasons, they treated our view of their club as something of a joke, as if nothing had ever really happened.
