2018/19 - the successful betting thread for Bees fans!

Post: # 252929Post Psycho »

I felt that as this is a new start in the National League it would be time to update the footy betting thread for Barnet.

Tomorrow is a new start and after a bit of searching around (betting shop guide), I've looked at the odds.

Aldershot 7/5 (Corals).
Draw 12/5 (various)
Barnet 2/1 (William Hill).

For a leap of faith I've put a damp, sweaty (blamed on the heat) £20 note on a Bees win. It would be great to start the season with three points - and £60 - under John Still's third spell as boss.

I hope hoppy doesn't mind me starting a new thread. His/her odds are usually accurate and will continue to do a fine job combined with other Bees fans. I'm very superstitious!

Incidentally we're 14/1 for the title. A little bit skinny considering Salford City and AFC Flyde have been throwing money around like water after a hosepipe ban ending but we'll see.

Good luck everyone. :D

Usually goals galore and crazy scorelines on the opening day of the league and conference games. The past 4 seasons I have won a fair amount of beer tokens just randomly picking 10,15, and 20 games both teams to score putting £1 on.

Give it a go and thank me later!

I recommend the 3-1 to the Bees score on every game. I guarantee you will end the season in profit. If not, Reckless will refund you all.

Just logged in to my William Hill account to see I had £11.32 in there so I've whacked a tenner on a five match acca at 75-1 and put the other £1.32 on a random selection of 10 games for both teams to score which will return about £250 if it comes in... I could be a grand better off by this time tomorrow... or I could have lost £11.32.

There were a lot of matches during the Conference winning season of 2004/05 Where we won 3-1.

Forest Green (home).
Stevenage (home). LDV Vans Trophy.
Carlisle United (away).
Crawley Town (away).
Gravesend & Northfleet (away).
Halifax Town (home).

Odds of around 12/1 on average would have made a very healthy profit.

Told you :-)

An old colleague of mine in our Fairclough Conference winning season did a bet in every game for us to win 3-1 and Hendo to score first.

Paid off twice at massive odds.

Tomorrow night's match odds are much closer than I expected them to be.

Barnet (8/13) (general).
Draw (5/2) (general).
Braintree (7/2) (Corals, William Hill).

A big lumpy single bet on the Bees would be risky given our scoring doubts at the moment. I like the look of a comfortable 2-0 win (7/1 Paddy Power) with Braintree maybe tiring late on with the fitness. They have a good young manager in Bradley Quinton, who got them promoted straight back into the NL Premier at the first attempt. Hopefully our first victory of the season. These are the games we need to win for the play-offs.

After the performance on Saturday that deserved three points, let's hope we can get up and running. Best of luck everyone and come on you Bees!

This will be my first 3-1 bet of the season. The first of many I've been assured.

Followed Foxy's advice and went for 0-0 at 10/1. 2 quid well spent

3-1 is indeed 12/1 at skybet.
Seems a bit miserly tbh.
