Looks like a diamond 442 to me with EMC partnering Bloomfield and Brundle in his preferred position supporting the front 2.

I like it, I'm interested to see that Thomas is considered fit enough to start here though.

My ticket didn't work at the turnstile and has been taken by a steward for examination. They let me in via a gate and I'm seeing quite a few suffering similar problems. Reckless we need a stewards on the attendance count.

Notts fan in peace.

Looking forward to today. We have 4 new signings and our best player back after a season out.

We will play nice football but we are a bit lightweight so be interesting to see if we get bullied in midfield.

Nice to hear from other teams fans. Good luck to you. But after today that is. Cheers

But concerned that we are apparently standing off by some distance and playing deep.

We can’t even string a short sequence of passes together, no closing down, and can’t keep possession at all

Midfield diamond leaves loads of space out wide.

That is true and the lack of movement from Payne and Brundle is a major cause of this. However, we have still fashioned some chances.

For some reason this is a lot more obvious on our left-hand side than on our right.

Is there no Bees commentary this year? Or must we rely on away commentary (when there is any?) For those of us separated by an ocean and a travel ban from the Hive, I hope the problem is just a temporary one - has anything been posted on this?

Notts are well established team. Played together for few years. And will be there or thereabouts at end of seasin. Were our team has just been put together and will take time to tell and get use to not just playing together but how HK wants them to play. So to go in at half time and having as good as chances as Notts is probably better than could be expectdd.

We (Notts) have played just how I'd expect. Lots of possession and lots of the ball going to our wingbacks.

But you've still come closer to scoring than us so very open game.

They’re looking for a volunteer, and presumably don’t have one yet:
