Ronnie Edwards wins Posh player of the season and Jack wins goal of the season. Not sure if it's been mentioned Andy Yiadom won fans player of the season at Reading.

Cliff Akurang takes over as manager of Coggeshall Town for next season. It is understood that he will remain chairman of Coggeshall United!

Ah, Cliff. My heart skips a beat at the mention of his name. Good luck to him at the helm of Olly Murs’s lot.

Could really do with 1 or both of them being sold, we must have a % sell on fee for both.

But wasn’t the fee from Posh almost a goodwill gesture, after we were forced to release all youngsters not on a senior professional contract at the conclusion of our second year at National League level, and the cessation of the academy?

Wraynel Hercules went straight to Brentford with no fee for that reason, if I recall correctly, and we fell out even further with Brentford over it. By contrast we agreed a fee with Peterborough for Edwards, but for the above reason may not have been in a strong position to negotiate a decent sell-on fee, or possibly one of any sort.

I might be misremembering it all, mind, and could be well off the mark. For all I actually know, we might have a 40% sell on fee which will bag us £8m or so when Posh sell Edwards for £20m in the future!

After the way Peterborough pushed a very reluctant Serhat Tasdemir upon us, I have no faith now in goodwill gestures by them towards us.

Tasdemir was reluctant, but we weren’t! Kewell had Tasdemir at Oldham and was keen for us to buy him, not just get him on loan. I don’t think there was any suggestion that they forced him onto us.

A football journo friend of mine told me that Brighton and Fulham have been sniffing round Edwards, but Tottenham are in pole position to sign him, although that could depend on the management situation this summer. I personally doubt either Brighton or Fulham could stump up £20m. Whether or not the Spurs owners would fork out that kind of dosh for a youngster is anyone's guess.

Again, relying on my memory here, but i thought the goodwill element was Peterborough paying a fee, rather than just going to tribunal and/or paying the minimum required. Be very unusual for a club to not have a selling on fee for such a young player, but guess we are all in the dark!

Dunne and Ogogo released by Southend, looks like they will need another squad central midfielder and a versatile squad player who can cover central mid…..money on H?
