I hadn’t realised, but it turns out Brennan has signed him before, when he was at Billericay.

Looks like he was loaned straight back to Ascot to continue his development, and then Brennan was pushed out of Glenn Tamplin’s revolving door a few months later, so I’m not sure how much he actually played for him. But he’ll obviously be very well aware of him as a player. Whether that makes Brennan more or less likely to sign him I suppose depends on his impression of him from that time.

I also notice that Minhas only signed for Beaconsfield in October 2021, meaning he must’ve scored his 27 goals in about 2/3 of a season. Must’ve been incredibly prolific.

I was confused at how we could have a trialist from the Georgian league, as work permit regulations won't allow it. However, I've found a player from their second division who appears to have British citizenship. Is this our guy? Looks a bit like him at least.

Reckon you've got him there, in one of the behind the bees videos you can hear DB calling him Morris as well

Azaze and Walsh join Beaconsfield on loan. Azaze for the whole season, Walsh for 2 months

Think we are better off releasing Azaze unfortunately.

Given he strongly gravitates to ex-players I wonder whether Reiss Greenidge may be an option if he continues to be clubless and becomes affordable

I’d be surprised, only because Brennan has said he’s looking specifically for a right-sided centre half.

He’s got two left footers in Diarra and Okimo already, and while Greenidge is good his right foot is just for standing on

Friends at Portsmouth have told me EMC is close to joining them. They’ve put in an improved bid after seeing one rejected earlier in the window

Probably suggests why we haven’t moved for a ST or CB yet

Most likely. Hopefully their striker that played us against in the friendly could be negotiated into the deal as a loan... we will see...

How reliable a source are your friends in Portsmouth? Are they actually connected to the club so have their ear to the ground or are they just supporters who might have read something on a message board / Twitter?

I would say 90% true.

Presumably, Simon Bassey thinks he can help EMC develop end product.

It would be the best thing for EMC.

I think so as well. What's the fee?
