29 July 1995 Dagenham & R v Barnet

I am logging all the programs I have and recording the score/scorers/attendance. I have one for the above which I assume was a friendly. I've found the Downhill Second Half website very helpful, but this game isn't recorded on there. Annyone know any of the statistics from that game?

Hope you are well. Colin here (you sat next to my wife Lynn at Underhill for some years). Logging your programmes! Hmm. That's something I always plan to do ... though mine go back to 1962 so it's a daunting task!

There is a five volume series entitled "A History of Barnet FC" by Rob Cavallini, which is very good.

It shows the game against D&R away as on 29 Aug, but that must be a typo given the order of games, so it must be the 29 Jul game. As you surmised, it was a friendly. Barnet won 1-0, Robbins scored and the attendance was 424.

The game at home to Chelsea on 5 Aug also saw Barnet win 1-0 and Alan Pardew scored. No attendance is shown.

Hi Colin, I have two other pre sesaon friendlies blanks to fill, 7/8/93 Sawbridgeworth 0 Barnet 1 and 2/8/96 v Luton T, no score or name on latter, and 23/7/97 Barnet 1 Palace 1, scorers not know. Just finished logging 1998/99 season!

Probably wrong, but fading memory tells me it was Brian Stein who scored at Sawbridgeworth
