We definitely have issues with a lack of pace in the middle and at the back with Eastleigh turning us a few times but Eastleigh drop too deep when we attack and we have exploited that.

Early pressure certainly came from Eastleigh, but for the last 5-10 mins we've been looking threatening.

Wow. Great run inside and shot by Shields to make it 2-0!
Nicely set up by Nicke.

Okimo and wynter have no interest in keeping it simple in their own half. Very agricultural and eastleigh keep breaking from their chips and hoofs

Great goal from Shields, I loved the Laurel and Hardy collision in their defence.

Watching from home.
Worring first 15 minutes or so, thankful our new spirit allowed us to hold out.
Shields goal fantastic, don't underestimate Kambamba header to set him moving.
Like the look of Gorman, Beard strong as always.
Worried about the pace Eastleigh have attacking Wynter.
2-0 at half time, keep it going bees

We need more composure on the ball as there is too much hoof. Great second goal and the side shows some grit.

Adam Virgo is rarely complementary about the bees. Whilst I agree that Eastleigh got off to a good start, I don't think they've been the better side overall. 2-0 up may flatter us a bit, but we're showing good character from being beaten a couple of days ago.

Came off his knee.

I enjoyed that first half, not least because I can't remember the last time I was able to stream a live Bees match, cold beer on my terrace, taking advantage of the evening sun and fighting mosquitoes.

A shaky start, but we took control after the first 15 mins, the scrappy goal shook their confidence and the second was on the cards as we were ruling it by then.

Fantastic header to play Shields through, it gave him the time and space to set himself up for a good finish.

More of the same in the second half please.

It was Pritchard who headed the ball!

Good battling and gritty performance with best defender Collinge and midfielder RDH out. To be 2 nil up is a breath of fresh compared to previous seasons where we would have capitulated.

Diarra like a very slow Chris Whyte and in danger of being exposed. Would like to see Shields and Hall play a little higher with perhaps Smith a bit more advanced in the middle.

Kabamba has put in a lot of yards that has opened gaps for midfield to attack. I hope he is rewarded with a goal.

Would be great for defender score from a set piece. Deliveries into box from multiple players so good to see

Very scrappy game, but I'll take 2-0 at half time
