Scunny have put up their highlights of the match, utilising an interesting behind-goal perspective at times.
I didn’t realise that when Walker made that save he tipped it onto the post!

12 of his goals came in a 12 game sequence for Sheffield Wednesday when he was pushed up front following injuries to Mark Bright and David Hirst. He got called up to the England squad, got injured, and rarely played striker again.becbee wrote: ↑29 Oct 2022, 20:58 Paul Warhurst? He looked a decent defender when he joined us towards the end of the season. The following season his legs had gone. There again, he was 38 years old by then.
He never scored for us either, there again he made a career total of 380 appearances yet only scored 32 goals. A defender who just came forwards sometimes.

Indeed his England call up was as a striker. Despite rose tinted spectacles of the era, wasn't the England team truly bloody awfulsimmosenior wrote: ↑30 Oct 2022, 11:1012 of his goals came in a 12 game sequence for Sheffield Wednesday when he was pushed up front following injuries to Mark Bright and David Hirst. After watching a blog from Scunthorpe fan. In second half he mentioned some Iron supporters had been thrown out for having brought a under 17 ticket, when we played at Bromley our supporters were to a point over the top treatment before entering. Such as being made to have a drink of what bottled drink they might of had with them. So how does several ( not sure of how many) Scunny fans get into the ground with under 17 ticket, are the turnstiles covered by stewards or just allowed to scan and walk in. Which seems more evident. It won't take long with social media for the word to get round that when visiting the Hive just buy under 17 ticket as not checked. Yes these supporters got caught out but it could of ended up in skirmish of even fighting just because we don't check away fans entering like we do when going away.
Ps they did mention something about stickers, as iron can who runs vlogs on there games which are quite good, that he said "when visiting the Hive just bring stickers", don't know if he means they use stickers to cover part of ticket. ?

In DB post match interview he mentioned how long there keeper took to retrieve the ball from behind the terrace, surely as mentioned why the hell have we not got ball boys/girls there, and also in away end for this reason. DB mentioned before that he has requested to TK that he wants ball boys along touch line so we can keep momento going. This is surely something that needs sorting now not at end of season, as surely this is a even easier fix than the hand dryers.

Seems so obvious to have ball boys, and they can be from clubs we have developed links with like AC Finchley

A couple of seasons ago in Legends a couple of stewards approached a few young lads who were enjoying their beers. The stewards asked to see their tickets and because the tickets were for under 17’s the stewards confiscated their drinks because according to the tickets they had purchased they were too young to drink.Roy57 wrote: ↑30 Oct 2022, 13:50 After watching a blog from Scunthorpe fan. When you scan at the turnstiles it activates a camera that records the person entering the ground. This hsppens in both home and away areas. There is a person looking through the footage in realtime and identifying people who might be breaking the admission policy. They are then challenged by stewards and held to account.

Seems that works well when only small away supporters are in attendance but Tuesdays game against Southend were they are close to selling out the away end. Cannot rely that the person is going to be in the seat for his allocated ticket. Would of thought a few stewards challenging under age tickets not to mention bag checks would be more suited than to find and check after admintance.

Hey everyone, Scunny fan here. I was at the game Friday night but I didn't hear of anyone with under 17 tickets being booted out. However, I do know that one of our fans was chucked out at half time for sticking a sticker somewhere. He was told by the police to take it off as it was classed as criminal damage. He peeled it off and was promptly kicked out by the stewards who were apparently 'heavy handed'. Didn't see it so can't comment but I have to say that the stewards weren't very friendly in general, although that's not exclusive to Barnet.Roy57 wrote: ↑31 Oct 2022, 12:19 Seems that works well when only small away supporters are in attendance but Tuesdays game against Southend were they are close to selling out the away end. Anyway, I've been to the Hive before and always liked that tune you play after the full time whistle...what is it?
Cheers!
