World Cup or Barnet or “Both”
Unless I’m going mad, Barnet play at home to Yeovil on the 13th December, the same night as the World Cup semi- final, regardless of whether England play in the semi final, this is a big occasion for many Football fans and should our match go ahead , I expect it to be one of our lowest all time league attendance.
However we may be able to see both, as some events team has also organised the showing of World Cup matches on a giant screen on the pitch.
On the downside this “ events team” website now showing “sold out” So I guess it’s been cancelled due to lack of interest or never got off the ground.
Seriously though, why is the club not changing our league fixture, we played on Monday the other day let’s do it again, or even the Thursday, there is a FAT match the following Saturday so could rest players if need be.
Who ever arranged the Yeovil fixture is in the wrong job.

Re: World Cup or Barnet or “Both”
There is a full programme of NL fixtures on Tuesday 13th December, which was part of the fixture list announced back in the first week of July when I don't suppose the WC fixture dates were even known. One match moved to Wednesday 14th but that's the other semi final date.
I can see the problem if England are playing and can agree that it would have been better if fixtures hadn't been scheduled for that midweek in the first place, however I wouldn't be happy with us resting players for the FAT match for the reasons stated.

Not a scrap of interest in the World Cup, would rather be watching live non-league whether that be at The Hive or somewhere else, just my opinion mind.

England in a world cup semi or Barnet Vs Yeovil. I still think I'd be more tempted by the latter.

I definitely am lol! To me a World Cup or the Euros are a football fix inbetween seasons, a winter one just doesn't interest me when the world of non-league are cracking on with it.

IF England win the group and then IF we was then to go all way to semi final then our game would be on the Wednesday anyway.
Bit silly of national league to put fixtures on this day presuming they knew world cup schedule and imo they would look stupid if they allowed clubs to postpone games.

In regards to the possibility of having to choose between Barnet and England that issue is over now. IF England was to make semi final our game would be on the Wednesday now anyway.

If (when) we beat Senegal, our quarter final (likely against France) will take place on Saturday 10th December at 7pm. I will be at Halifax that day, however that last train home from Leeds is 7:15. Not sure what to do!

I thought the game was on the 14th.
England v Senegal is on Sunday December 4th at 7pm
The winners of this play in Quarter final 4 which is on December 10th at 7pm
The winners of Quarter final 4 play in semi final 2 on December 14th at 7pm
The winners of Semi Final 2 play in the final on December 18th at 3pm
The winners of the final have a street parade central London on a public holiday to be announced.

Barnet first - and England via BBC iPlayer / ITV Hub when home!
Final would have to watch England

If you can watch BBC on your phone why can’t you watch ITV ? Is there a reason you can’t load the ITVX app ?letchbee94 wrote: ↑29 Nov 2022, 22:39Am hoping IF we are playing that the Bbc show the game and not ITV so I can watch it on my phone on way home in mini bus.WillesdenBee wrote: ↑29 Nov 2022, 22:31 If (when) we beat Senegal, our quarter final (likely against France) will take place on Saturday 10th December at 7pm. To be honest Derek I had not heard about that app.
But thanks will look into that if need be.
