Doubt we’ll be able to pay his agents fees or his wage. His agent is supposedly owed 18k which is the breach of contract they mention

They didn't pay him for 28 days so his agent terminated his contact and he's free agent. Most Southend fans rated him as their best player, and a CB that's way to good for the NL. Don't think we'll go for him but I'd imagine he'll sign a short term deal till May with Notts, Chesterfield or Wrexham, and then sign for an EFL club in the summer.

On another note it does make you wonder if others will follow in the coming days. I hope were monitoring the situation as there's a couple of decent players in that team, who caused us problems back in November

He's getting slated on Southend website... but how many families with higher mortgage rates and energy bills be able to cope if not paid for a couple of months ?

Also.... if you're not being paid, how many would choose to do a job for love? It's a breach of contract.

Irony is the loans used to pay wages will have put Southend even more in debt. Feel sorry for the fans

With Jordan Thomas gone and Collinge potentially injured I’d expect a right back addition rather than centre back

His giving 15 days notice to terminate his contact due to missing wages is fair enough, the surprise is more that none of the other Southend players did likewise. However it's the second time this season that he's forced a move, he apparently also did that at Sheffield Utd in order to get his transfer to Southend.

What I think is out of order was his turning up in Southend's pre -match dressing room last night to break the news / collect his stuff. Poor form to disrupt their preparations like that.

Also can't join a club above this level as he was under contract to a club when transfer deadline day in the football league passed. can only join a NL team or below!
