Jerome Okimo
He has still played every minute of every game this season including FA Cup and FA Trophy at the age of 34, having hardly played last season for a part time team, and coming is a player-coach. This does not get spoken about enough. Absolutely incredible

Re: Jerome Okimo
Rarely booked either , great role model for his younger team mates. Super pro.
Re: Jerome Okimo
Showed his versatility again last night too, shifting across to the left back role when Beard went off injured and looking just as assured there. Having played there before during his career I wonder if he was signed as much as a back-up left back as a centre half, before obviously starting at centre half due to Diarra’s fitness problems and then making himself undroppable there due to his excellent form.
Re: Jerome Okimo
Thanks for starting this thread. A hugely reliable player who goes about his business without any fuss. Deserves the highest praise.

And not just that, but has performed very well in pretty much every game he's played. An incredible achievement for which he deserves massive praise.
Re: Jerome Okimo
What I love the most about him is how he silently gets about his business, no whining, complaining of any nonsense, just a dependable 7/10 every week. What a guy

Re: Jerome Okimo
Out of a bunch of signings who have pleasantly surprised us, his is probably the most unforeseen plus. The guy is a complete pro.
Re: Jerome Okimo
There should definitely be an end of season award for Jerome! BFCSA - please sort this out as I guess that he most probably won't win Player of the Season.
I love Luisma & really miss his skils!
Re: Jerome Okimo
Why Not. ?
Definitely my player of the season.

Re: Jerome Okimo
He's definitely in the running. I would say Laurie Walker but wouldn't argue if it was Okimo.
Brennan talked before the season about how he was heavily involved on the coaching side. Maybe a future Barnet manager?

Re: Jerome Okimo
I was thinking the very same thing today. Last night he never stopped running, defending one minute and pushing forward the next.

Always does a good job for us.
Re: Jerome Okimo
Jerome has been excellent, but so has the team. I can't remember a season where so many players had a genuine case to be player of the year. Even in our title winning teams there were usually 3-4 candidates that stood out head and shoulders.
This is the first time that I can remember where I feel I could make a case for almost all the first choice start XI to be POY.
While I agree Jerome isn't favourite for POY he's certainly in my thoughts - along with about 7 others!
It's a nice thing to have to think hard about POY.
