£5 Season Ticket Holder offer.
£5 Season Ticket Holder offer.
From the attendance figure it appears that the generous offer from the club to London based season ticket holders missed.
Can I be so bold as to ask why wasn't the first port of call from Barnet to register on Club Forums and post the offer. Arsenal and Watford fans who I know and spoke to today had heard nothing about it. One went to Wimbledon and the other stayed home. They were both semi regulars at Underhill and would have gone.
Baffled. Forums get read, it's what they are good for.

Re: £5 Season Ticket Holder offer.
If the answer is simply "it is not permitted" then I will understand. Admin can decide surely?

Good point, I will ask the club.Reckless wrote: ↑11 Sep 2023, 18:55 From the attendance figure it appears that the generous offer from the club to London based season ticket holders missed.

I am all for getting the message into as many channels as possible.
For what it may be worth, Twitter stats did indicate that the offer reached tens of thousands on that platform.

Re: £5 Season Ticket Holder offer.
The short notice period was ridiculous - plans would have already been made for that weekend - alot of Barnet fans would not have heard about it let alone from other clubsReckless wrote: ↑11 Sep 2023, 18:55 From the attendance figure it appears that the generous offer from the club to London based season ticket holders missed.

Could have been planned and promoted weeks ago
It's about time we made an effort to support Non League day properly this season too

Re: £5 Season Ticket Holder offer.
Worse than that, those of us who have followed Barnet for many years - in my case, over 50 - didn't get any offer. I have never held a season ticket as I can usually get to only 8-10 home matches a year but the club has my details and that of my 30-something year old son as we buy our tickets online and only stopped being members when the membership offer ceased three or four years ago. Why wouldn't you start with ensuring that irregular attendees like us attended more often, rather than targeting season ticketholders of other clubs whose first loyalty will never be to Barnet?

Very good point! Maybe the BFCSA can take this up with the club?simmosenior wrote: ↑11 Sep 2023, 21:35 Worse than that, those of us who have followed Barnet for many years - in my case, over 50 - didn't get any offer. I love Luisma & really miss his skils!
Re: £5 Season Ticket Holder offer.
I understand that Twitter is the platform for reaching numbers but surely the people to pick up on this offer are far more likely to be the type of fans who read their club message boards regularly?

Please, let’s not.JWTBee wrote: ↑11 Sep 2023, 21:53Very good point! We have been asking for this type of offer for years. To take this up would take the piss. Especially when we have run plenty of offers for non season BFC ticket holders in the past. (And when we do, one or two BFC season ticket gets their noses out of joint over that).

Re: £5 Season Ticket Holder offer.
This was never going to bang on 500 extra. It needs to be sustained and becomes common knowledge you can nip down to watch the Bees if you have a season ticket elsewhere as offered.
100% you stick it on a clubs message board
Continue to use social channels and other media channels.
This should be a longer term strategy not expecting amazing uptake in a week
Any Barnet fans complaining they're not getting an offer....for once this is not all about you or us.
I've said it before it should be permanent and by end of season you have enough data to see if its gaining ground
Well done to club for kicking it off just need to maintain

Re: £5 Season Ticket Holder offer.
Yeah this needs a proper meeting with the marketing team and BFCSA and a real strategy needs to be put in place

Re: £5 Season Ticket Holder offer.
I had an idea which I voiced on the latest Beespod
The club likes us to pay by standing order so offer a 1 game a month standing order at say £18 or £19 pounds. Targeted at those fans that can only do 10 games a year. If you want to attend another fixture in that month you can purchase a ticket at that price in your account.
The fan gets a £5 discount on tickets by committing to one game a month, club has a guaranteed income stream from those supporters and those supporters that might have skipped a match will feel more inclined to come so they use their one game a month.

I don't think that's a bad idea. The are eight months in the season (Aug-Apr), but it would probably make more sense for the standing order to come out monthly throughout the year, I assume. So perhaps it could be 12 games across the campaign – one in each month, and four that you can use at a time if your choosing.Mem Beespod wrote: ↑12 Sep 2023, 08:49 I had an idea which I voiced on the latest Beespod

Personally I think it's preferable to have a package that you pay for in a one-off instalment though, just for simplicity.
Fulham used to offer an excellent deal, around 2005-ish, where you could buy a ticket bundle. I can't remember exactly how many games, but fixtures were broken down into category A, B and possibly even C. You were allowed to pick something like one Cat A game, two B and three C. I ended up buying it, as a chance to watch a bit of Premier League football, because I could pick dates that worked around Barnet fixtures.
I wonder if we could do something similar in reverse, that gets Premier League fans coming down when their teams aren't playing or are away from home. It would benefit Barnet supporters who can't make every game too, and boost attendances for midweek fixtures (we could make them the Cat C equivalent).

Mem - as usual yet another of your good ideas! Hopefully the club will think about it & instigate it!Mem Beespod wrote: ↑12 Sep 2023, 08:49 I had an idea which I voiced on the latest Beespod
