It looks like today's version of DB agrees with Roy57!
Cannot understand DB so Negative, now back to being series, my post was not negative
( In comparison ) i said as others said we played lovely passing moves and they were chasing shadows, but they did have chances first half were we should of scored at least two more, not negative just fact, had glorious chances and need to be putting these away ( same as DB has said)
Second half we sat back on our two nil lead instead of going for third as others mentioned. Read what I say instead of reading what you interpret, I didn't feel it was our worst performance of the season like Dean felt but he is obvious not happy with chances we are squandering and he is getting very annoyed about it. We won't get many chances against Chesterfield and those we get we need to make them count. COYBs.

Great day out. Day started with a bus to the ground absolutely rammed with bees fans. Not too sure what following they were expecting, the initial away section was shocking until it got extended. As for the game, I thought Pritch was outstanding, as was Laurie. What was interesting as due to the low gate, DB was really audible from we were there. He was so animated, and fuming with any sort of negative play. Long spells of passing got met with screams of ‘forward’ which is still so refreshing to see a Barnet side attack like this after recent years. However, second half was poor and it should’ve been taken as an opportunity to boost our goal difference. Our finishing was woeful at times too, but 3 points are all that matters

I have no axe to grind with Oxford City but those facilites were not acceptable today. If you take the ratio of 8 male to 2 females that means 2 toilets were available for 360 male supporters and they were OUTSIDE the ground! that ground is not fit to host this level of football. God help them when Southend go there in April!

There were just 2 Ladies toilets, 1 of which was absolutely disgusting but we were using it out of necessity. The queue for the gents was absolutely ridiculous.

I'd heard previously that the view at the ground was awful so appreciated the fact that once they opened the whole area behind the goal, I could see the whole pitch. We'd considered going into the stand but it was out of the question, we tried it there and couldn't see over the bar along the pitch.

What was strangest though was the absence of any pre match / half time music ( none we could hear anyway). Likewise the tannoy which we could hear that someone was speaking but couldn't understand what was being said. And the ground was so open that the fans sounded quiet. It was all very weird.

But to be fair, the car park was huge and the outdoor bar area looked great.

You could hear the tannoy well enough in the seated stand we had been allocated but it was on the quiet side. Were there no loudspeakers elsewhere in the ground?

We were behind the goal and couldn't hear the tannoy.

‘Cannot understand DB so Negative‘ cuz in order to win the league we have to be as close to being flawless as possible. We nearly bottled the game today. We cannot afford any slip ups

I didn’t really get the mumbled part from DB about Connor Stevens - he said he’s going to play? Wonder if that means Revan is (again) out for a while?

As others have said, Pritchard was excellent at LWB. I’d rather have him there than Coker or Beard

Thought this was a good article. A surprisingly detailed preamble, etc and a very fair and comprehensive match report

Senior was so frustrating yesterday. There was acres of space behind and yet not once did he try to beat his man for pace.

Wondering if we will make an attempt to make Hartigan a permanent signing in January transfer window. The form he's in I fear a recall from Mansfield if they sustain an injury in same position

A Mansfield supporting mate has told me they have had a midfield injury crisis... But that was a few weeks ago so hopefully been resolved

A great report - amazed at the power of recall and detail without benefit of replay. Just shows how many chances we create every game.

Other than the 3 or so occasions he did in the first half?

Not once did he knock it past the player and beat him for pace.

More annoying was Wynter not recognising the opportunity to play it into the space for Senior to run into.

The guy has pace to burn and yet the one occasion he used it was to win the ball back on the halfway line. I can absolutely see why Brennan gets frustrated with him considering what he seems capable of.
