Remembrance Sunday

Post: # 363209Post John Hunt »

Dear All

I attended the solemn but wonderful ceremony outside Barnet Church this morning.

There were wreaths laid on behalf of many eclectic organisations ranging from our standing MP, to masons. councils, schools, shops , pubs and Hadley FC.

However there was nothing from our beloved club

I see this as sad. A connection between our club and community missing. I do not know whether we participate closer to the Hive or have ever done so in the past.

Something for the club and BFCSA to consider next season. We could crowdfund for a wreath if need be.

Attached is a link to an article by Reckless about Dennis Kelleher and his remarkable war time story.

That he did. There was a nice picture of it online. Maybe that is how clubs do it now. I remember a nice ceremony at Blackburn with Jeanette representing the club a while back.
